While the apps are still in store, there doesn’t seem to be any website except for an indiegogo, and the Techcrunch article is from '17.

It’s twitter for the right, Lemmy for the left, bluesky for the libertarians and Linux users have joined either us, or gone back to trust bulletin boards

- Comment on UK needs cyber security professionals, but won't pay up 3 months ago:
The US does pay significantly higher, but with enormous costs. My senior full stack engineer position would be about 60k/year at the government, which is a significant income to Dutch standaards.
My monthly costs are around 1400 per month, the rest used for savings and fun.

- Comment on SpacebarChat - a selfhosted, Discord-compatible communication platform 4 months ago:
It’s a convenience over privacy thing. If the api is discord compatible you lose the e2e on that channel / server, or make the api e2e but then existing bots need modifying
- Comment on Project Analyzing Human Language Usage Shuts Down Because ‘Generative AI Has Polluted the Data’ 4 months ago:
Imagine being an author whose sole income is writing books.
Here comes an AI that stole your work and is asked by a customer of OpenAI to summarise your books. It does so perfectly and the issuer is able to use your results freely, since they think it’s AI generated and doesn’t require attribution.
You receive nothing in return.
Good luck making a living.

A place I used to work at had that… The corp had rolled out a non-delete policy with something akin to
