Pretty much happening if support disappears for 2.4GHz wifi. Most of these smart devices require it, and many wifi routers don’t even bother transmitting it unless you specifically activate that option.

Yeah, I don’t have a subscription, so I guess I’ll just shrug and upvote 🤷♂️

2y ago (during the reddit app lockdown) there was a lot of groundswell for joining other communities. Quite a few people made how-to videos showing the process. Although I bet they’re a little outdated now…

My father had it when he was trying to consolidate his utilities. It was nearly unusable even for watching a 720p youtube video. Whenever I visited his house, I elected to work offline rather than pull my hair out

Mine are up but the details apply to about 2010-2013 era activities. Definitely no longer a priority 🙃

It’s true that there’s some usefulness in recollection, but geez I find myself digging through my browser history and being absolutely lost… whether it’s an article, video, online store product, anything. Then I usually just re-search for whatever it was from scratch 🤷♂️

Arc-fault breakers are required by code as of now, and it would help this situation quote a bit. However millions of homes don’t have them installed so they’re more at risk.
- Comment on Tesla bait-and-switch: Cybertruck owners won't get Autosteer feature they paid for 6 months ago:
Yeah, plus the assist feature shuts itself off when it can’t be used (ie. driving into the sun) unlike Tesla’s version that instead chooses to ram you into a building then blames you for it by disengaging 0.1 seconds before the collision.

I love me some 1/4 hex heads like 13 or epsilon. I could see myself counterboring then into holes for a looooong time
- Comment on They haven't made too many family-friendly cartoons about an abusive husband in a toxic relationship since they stopped making The Flintstones. 8 months ago:
Was it really that common though? There were a couple shows with that trope but only a handful were popular. It’s kinda like the popularity of “Westerns” which is pretty low these days outside of isolated ranching shows like Yellowstone etc.
