If you ever have to switch, I can vouch for Kodi. I’m using it with the plugins for YouTube, national TV, Arte and my own local media storage. The downside is that those plugins aren’t officially supported tho

I like having a separate desk at home I only use for work. It puts me in a different mindset and helps me separate work from life. I often have to work outside of the usual business hours, so I really need that separation.

I see, that makes sense. Thanks for the answer!

I hope the YouTube Kodi plugin stays working, otherwise I’ll have to write a script to download all latest videos in my subscription to my home server.

I didn’t know programming.dev censored words, that’s disappointing
- Comment on Why making pretend people with AGI is a waste of energy 2 months ago:
I know quite a lot of people doing research into AI. Some from my own background in applied mathematics, and some from my partners partner’s background in computational linguistics. They all have very different ideas about the future of AI, but they all laugh about the idea of a generic AGI.

No shitting on the iPod Nano I had in the late 2000s, I bloody loved that thing and it was sturdy as a brick. Glad I never bought anything else from them tho.

- Comment on English may be a hot mess but at least we don't have to worry about this nonsense 4 months ago:
I call bullshit on this, e.g. “de aanrecht” sounds just plain wrong. I know that people in the Netherlands are often using the wrong gender, which always sounds weird to me.
Words that change meaning with different genders (e.g. “de aas” and “het aas”) are kinda cool tho.

- Comment on What is an average person living in the US supposed to do about corporations raising prices? 5 months ago:
O, I see. I guess that makes it even more important to support your local baker/butcher/…, if you’ve still got one. But yeah, that’s a shitty situation.
- Comment on What is an average person living in the US supposed to do about corporations raising prices? 5 months ago:
Not American, but I try to buy most of my daily stuff from independent places instead of supermarkets. The social contacts at my local butcher, bakery, vegetable shop, fish shop, … is also much more enjoyable than stressing in the Colruyt or whatever. And the produce is way better.
