Microsoft used to have a social network called so.cl and it really wasn’t that bad. Lots of tech and sci-fi stuff posted.

I know quite a few tech oriented people and I don’t know anyone who actually has the holy trinity of backups. I know quite a few who have physical backups at home and cloud though.

Do you not have anything in the cloud or do you use another service? I was using carbonite but I gave them up years ago.

- Comment on The Teddy Bear Was Once Seen as a Dangerous Influence on Young Children 11 months ago:
A few social commentators saw teddy bears as ominous: They feared that some girls’ preference for soft animals over humanlike dolls would become all-consuming, replacing the female urge to nurture babies—and eventually lead to childless marriages.
You can’t make this kind of stuff up.

Android powers over 70% of smartphones. If they were to make an app wouldn’t it be more efficient (cost v exposure) to make an android app? The website though works on all phones.

- Comment on Binance was slapped with a $4.3 billion fine because it let groups like Hamas and ISIS receive funds: Treasury Department 11 months ago:
Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, the cofounder of Binance and a central figure in the crypto world, is also stepping down as CEO under the settlement.
Zhao is pleading guilty to breaking anti money-laundering law, per the justice department. Zhao will personally pay $50 million in fines, and faces up to 18 months in prison,
Man I feel like he’s getting off light honestly and I saw there are more charges from the SEC but how is he the only one facing time?

So I believe people can be credibly complex. I think Elon truly wants to improve the world. I also think he is not someone who is overburdened with an abundance of virtue. I want to be the kind of person who always hopes someone who is mistaken will eventually see the error of their ways and change course. I’m not very optimistic though.

Who knows. Maybe they realize the stock is already overpriced and they don’t want to jinx it. I’m still in awe of the fall musk made in the public consciousness. He went from the guy who wanted to change the world and help end fossil fuel consumption to someone who paid 40+ billion to make a safe space for Internet trolls… Crazy.

I doubt he’ll win but media matters will have attorney fees and those can be financially devastating sometimes.

They’re in a TNG episode. The symbiote controls the host in that episode too. It isn’t a blending.

It’s television. Things can happen. Trills didn’t originally have spots either. They just changed it.

So let’s imagine a DS9 sequel series or TV movie is green lit and you’re the producer. Does Jadzia come back? If so how? Or does Terry Farrell come back in some other way? Or is she not in it at all?
