It could be that all of the lifeforms the aliens have ever seen had that shrink-wrapped look, so they’d have no reason to look for muscle attachments

Once, I had a song in my head that I wasn’t able to remember much about. I posted on the /r/tipofmytongue community, letting them know that all I could remember was “eh, oppah”
After a few incorrect guesses, somebody realized that it was Moby’s “Natural Blues”

Yeah it’s so weird to me that the US toilet water is so high. I imagine there’s a valid reason for it, but it’s a very foreign concept to me

Thing is, there wasn’t even a chance of having a full Tay incident. The problem with Tay was that it was a learning model, so people could teach it to be more messed up.
Meanwhile, ChatGPT doesn’t learn, and instead has a preset dataset it knows (hence why it only knows things up to September 2021), so the main reason why it got so heavily censored is more likely to avoid much more minor incidents, which imo is dumb.

I played 68 games. Steam median is 8.
- Comment on God of War Creator Is Unhappy With New Games and Kratos' Story 10 months ago:
Yeah, while I personally really enjoyed both new games, I can understand not liking the way the gameplay went. However, I think Kratos’ story is a perfect evolution for the character, so I cannot really understand his opinion there
- Comment on Fallout TV Show - Trailer 10 months ago:
Greatest action RPGs, perhaps. But even that has little bearing on TV show writing, since the important writing aspect of RPGs is the mass of options, not the actual writing itself.

- Comment on What were the best and worst games you played in 2023? 11 months ago:
On Ori and the Blind Forest - if you generally enjoy platformers, I would encourage you to give the sequel a shot, Ori and the Will of the Wisps. I played BF years ago and like you, I bounced off it. Then a couple of years back I tried WotW and loved it.
I subsequently went back and retried BF, and I realized that every issue I had with the gameplay had been fixed in the sequel.
The story of the first game only factors into the second game in minor ways, so you’ll be fine if you skip it.

Unfortunately I had to drop Alan Wake after the prologue. The game is probably great, but I think my PC has finally hit a AAA game it just cannot handle. Perhaps I’ll give it another shot once I upgrade.
I absolutely get your criticisms with Ghost of Tsushima. While I personally loved the game when I played it, I do recall commenting that it had the same gameplay loop as I criticize Skyrim for i.e. go here, kill things, repeat, but for me the core combat mechanics were good enough that I didn’t mind. A shame that you weren’t able to enjoy them to the same extent, but very fair critique

YouTube is trash, and if a viable alternative were to exist then I would switch in a heartbeat.
But I’m all about convenience, so until that alternative exists, if I have to give some money to YouTube to have that convenience, I’ll do it.

I genuinely feel so bad for US students. Why do student loans have any interest at all, or at least such a high interest rate.
It’s just such a terrible system that fucks over anybody trying to get an education, unless they can pay it off with Daddy’s money or be one of the few that gets a high enough paying job that it doesn’t cripple you.
I have a $70,000 loan but thankfully I live in a country with 0% student loans interest (unless you move away to another country to live), so it means I can essentially ignore it and pay 10% of my income into it for the next decade or so and then it’ll be gone, whereas I’ve heard of people in the US paying many thousands of dollars in a year and only seeing their loan go up.
