I can’t believe people have work apps on their personal devices. Delete that shit!

Does this mean I can stop prefacing my AI requests with “According to Reddit…”?
- Comment on What web services do you subscribe to? 7 months ago:
I mean, it’s something like $7-8 for 6 months via a one-time VPN payment in India or the like. Definitely worth it.

The silliest one is my Plex web admin page. I even had to make a Github issue request about it, and found a bunch of others who had done the same thing.
Several government websites, among others. I should start a list. I’m sure it’s a combo of unlock origin with FF’s privacy protection settings, but I’ve tweaked it so much for the websites that are broken and nothing ever changed. Switched over to Safari and everything loads beautifully.

Safari. Firefox borks out on so many websites for me. Safari “just works.”

Not connected, but works fine as a media server. Less issues with Plex than Jellyfin in its current state.

No, but 1/3 of your screen will be empty real estate.

If the room smells like pickles, but doesn’t actually contain any delicious pickles for me to eat, I will get very upset, too.

Ship of Harkinian is an absolutely brilliant way to play The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I have it up and running on my Steamdeck and it blows the EmuDeck/RetroArch version out of the water.

Pinhole, NextDNS, a variety of things over the years.

Really wish smart TV’s running AndroidTV/GoogleTV could do framerate matching like external devices can, though.
- Comment on [deleted] 1 year ago:
I have to unplug my docked Steamdeck anytime I want to watch any other input because screws with the CEC functionality so much. It’s a hot mess.

I’ve used an adblocker to block the ad that takes up 1/3 of the homescreen on Roku, but even then, it turns into a huge empty frame. ⍨

Obviously, your experience in retail 20 years ago trumps all else, babe. Lmao.
- Comment on Remember when Target blamed theft for closing stores? It's all lies. 1 year ago:
It’s okay- literally ever Portland local agrees that this was the reason for the stores closing down. What national news reports is incredibly out-of-touch.
- Comment on Remember when Target blamed theft for closing stores? It's all lies. 1 year ago:
Every big block store experiences petty theft, though. The real reason the 3 Target stores in Portland closed is because they were all in absolutely horrific locations. One was in a reclaimed bowling alley. Another was off a freeway and took ages to actually get to a parking lot. Just super inaccessible.

Police records apparently don’t match up in Portland. https://www.kfyrtv.com/2023/10/20/target-says-3-stores-closing-portland-oregon-due-crime-police-records-dont-match-up/

Really annoying that they only mention Emma Stone in the headline. Nathan’s where it’s at.

One friend of mine pays for IPTV. Paying for ad-riddled cable network streams is wild to me.

There are export options for many music subscription services now, as well as apps like TuneMyMusic, Playlisty, etc. which can transfer your library and services between services.

- Comment on What show took you the longest to get into? 1 year ago:
Breaking Bad took me a good 6 episodes or so. It starts off so dark and unappealing.
BSG (the remake) took me 3-4 episodes. Same deal.
But my god, they’re both pure gold.
- Comment on Don't you agree that individuals that went back to reddit are the same type that don't want to stick to different stuff assuming that everyone else has done their research? 1 year ago:
I dread opening Reddit now. If I have received any comment replies, they are rude, cruel, or sarcastic (and unhelpful). The quality of the tech subs that I used to enjoy has been reduced to hot garbage. It’s confused Facebook moms asking questions that they could just Google now. The shift in quality is shocking.
