- Comment on Since cats don't pant like dogs how do they release trapped heat? 1 month ago:
Actually not all dogs just have their tongue out all the time. Mostly they pant when they get hot.

With the possible exception of games that were canceled, those are all examples of super scummy nonsense.

Enforcing UN sanctions against North Korea, which China voted for.
- Comment on Canberra accuses Chinese fighter jet of dropping flares dangerously close to Australian helicopter 6 months ago:
Well if China tried “enforcing” this in any real way they’d get their shit pushed in, so according to your logic they are definitely not Chinese waters.
- Comment on Canberra accuses Chinese fighter jet of dropping flares dangerously close to Australian helicopter 6 months ago:
Oh look you’re shilling for China again, huge surprise.

Yeah they’ve absolutely made a change, and there are legitimate concerns about them having the data, and their vulnerability to a hack that might leak it for example.
I’m only trying to correct the idea that everybody’s public reviews now have their name attached to it.
- Comment on Users ditch Glassdoor, stunned by site adding real names without consent 7 months ago:
…did you think that comment was directed to you? That’s strange since I responded to someone else. Take a deep breath and read it again bud.
- Comment on Users ditch Glassdoor, stunned by site adding real names without consent 7 months ago:
What they’re actually doing is super shady, and reason enough to cause concern without exaggerating.
- Comment on Users ditch Glassdoor, stunned by site adding real names without consent 7 months ago:
Agreed, but the article title implies that they are in fact currently revealing names, which is just not the case.
- Comment on Users ditch Glassdoor, stunned by site adding real names without consent 7 months ago:
Not disputing that it’s a concern at all, and the way they went about it is super shady. It’s just that the implication in the headline is so so much worse than that.
- Comment on Users ditch Glassdoor, stunned by site adding real names without consent 7 months ago:
I swear some people are just contrary.
- Comment on Users ditch Glassdoor, stunned by site adding real names without consent 7 months ago:
It seems as though nobody in this thread actually read the article. They are not revealing user names on the site. The objection here is having the real name as part of your private profile data, in case of a future data breach. It’s a real concern, but orders of magnitude less serious than what everybody is assuming.
Shame on Ars for the misleading clickbait headline.
- Comment on Users ditch Glassdoor, stunned by site adding real names without consent 7 months ago:
That’s absolutely not what it means. They are identifying users in their private profile data, not publicly along with your reviews.
- Comment on Users ditch Glassdoor, stunned by site adding real names without consent 7 months ago:
The title is misleading and it seems as though nobody actually read the article. Your name is not being posted with your reviews.
- Comment on Users ditch Glassdoor, stunned by site adding real names without consent 7 months ago:
Seems like you didn’t read the article either. That isn’t what’s happening. I can understand your confusion because of the provocative and misleading article title, but they’re adding names to your private profile.
- Comment on Users ditch Glassdoor, stunned by site adding real names without consent 7 months ago:
Did you read the article? That isn’t what’s happening.

No need to be so defensive, champ.
- Comment on Mystical land pirates (with pizza) 7 months ago:
Because your source of info is places you’ve lived at personally, and I assume a delivery driver would have seen a wider range of apartments than you. So without additional context, you seem to be making assumptions that most places would be like the ones you’ve seen, and “correcting” someone based on that assumption.
- Comment on Mystical land pirates (with pizza) 7 months ago:
I’m not the delivery driver you replied to. I just thought it was dismissive to reply to a person saying “it’s difficult to figure out apt numbers” with a long explanation on why they’re wrong and how it’s actually easy.
- Comment on Mystical land pirates (with pizza) 7 months ago:
What specifically about my post makes you think I’m angry? And defensive doesn’t even make sense as we haven’t spoken before. Maybe take a deep breath yeah?
- Comment on Mystical land pirates (with pizza) 7 months ago:
You really think you’ve lived in enough apartment complexes to know better than a delivery driver?

- Comment on Why don't we hear more about the 2017 Las Vegas shooting? It was the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history, we never found a motive, and it seems no one ever mentions it. 7 months ago:
Oh spare us your conspiracy theories. What you’re suggesting would only be possible if all major media were in coordination. I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that you have an idea about who “controls the media”. 🙄
