(no offense, OP)
None taken. I am absolutely a rando. Selling the stuff seems like the smartest idea. 8gb ram is so old and “small” anyways :)

I definitely know. I already made myself a small form factor case. My cat is bigger than my computer ;)
I like these niche hobbies and the silliness that can go into it. I think I spent $250 on this case and (k, due to covid) it took more than a year to ship. Now its smallness is so large!
Worth it :D

It’s not vital to keep the ram since it is definitely bulky when it comes to a mini pc.
I also don’t necessarily need a “normal” case. Could I make something weird? Could I make a shoe-computer?

I learned that lesson recently about RAM. I have DDR4. I don’t care for gaming. I think it could be fun to have a dorky little mini-PC that can do all the PC stuff that I can tote around to show off :P

Once talked to the real estate agent that helped my mom buy in 2008 about buying a place for me around 2020. I found a decent-enough property for about 250k that i could put a house on.
A part of their advice to me was to wait for a home around $80,000 like my mom got on 2008.
Thanks.

I think the idea is that people check the weather Sotheby’s will actually see it. Like, I never read the sports section, but if there was a tidbit on the weather page I might click it.

That’s really cool. I’d love to live life just floating around and chilling gracefully like that.

A lot more money.

A cap is so stupid. The only benefit of a cap is to people who don’t need to contribute after the cap. It doesn’t help society, it doesn’t help social security. It shouldn’t be “I contributed enough this year, see ya later as I climb my piles of money!!”

- Comment on The library where my wife works is having a Black Friday sale. 10 months ago:
Libraries are amazing! They have books, movies, magazines, study rooms, computers with internet! Some have makers spaces. There could be a 3d-printer to use, sewing machines, other tools and items! And then there’s the classes and events the library holds. A reading club, craft activities, kids groups, read-alouds, theme nights. And more! Libraries can connect you to services and legal help.
Libraries are just a physical format of Google. They lead you to the information and things you need if you just ask :)

- Comment on YSK about the different “ways of knowing” 10 months ago:
I see the confusion. I meant to use this other kind of different thinking as comparison. I wasn’t clear. I meant it more as a step between ideas to bridge the knowledge gap for me. It’s how I process.
I was meaning to affirm the idea that there are different learning types. This paper is going even more in depth. It’s cool.
- Comment on YSK about the different “ways of knowing” 10 months ago:
Ways of learning absolutely do differ. I agree. Someone can follow a recipe on paper. Another might not get it on paper as quickly as they would with a video tutorial. Is one better than the other?
It is easy to fall into the world-view that what you know is the right way. Everyobe else does it that way. Easy. But the few who aren’t in the everyone crowd could have different ways of seeong a situation.
I observe that so many conversations devolve into “you don’t know? Idiot” too quickly. It’s hard to learn when you being wrong leads to snobbery and gates.
