I switched to Action Launcher years ago and have been very happy with it.
- Comment on You rarely hear people get toungue-tied in scripted television or film 4 weeks ago:
Which is why Steven Spielberg’s early movies were so refreshing. The overlapping dialogue of his various breakfast/dinner table scenes were a standout of his style.
- Comment on Dying Light 5 weeks ago:
Despite the very standard protagonist, Dying Light was a real treat.
My Christmas game this year has been Jusant. Just got to the last chapter and it’s been the perfect vibe.

God I love that game! Don’t really care for the other Fromsoft stuff but Sekiro is something else.
- Comment on It turns out Saudi Arabia will own 93.4 percent of EA if the buyout goes through, which is effectively all of it 2 months ago:
The only EA franchise I’ve cared about in the last 15 years was Mirrors Edge. Would love another but I’ve long given up hope on that.

- Comment on A cool feature/mechanic you want to see in games again 2 months ago:
A Spider-man game with the swinging mechanics of the PS2 Spider-man 2 game. Or just a remake of that game. The new ones are fine and fun but the older game absolutely nailed the web swinging.
- Comment on Settings you believe ANY game should have? (This is me advocating for a restart/reboot button on ALL games) 2 months ago:
A fair take. I think I agree.
- Comment on Settings you believe ANY game should have? (This is me advocating for a restart/reboot button on ALL games) 2 months ago:
Absolutely. Normal is easy mode, charmless is normal mode and charmless with bell demon is true hard mode. After I completed a charmless run, normal really did feel so much easier.
Whether it should have a dedicated “easy” mode or not, I’m really torn. It took me months to get through my first playthrough but the sense of achievement was immense and like no other gaming experience before. I simply wouldn’t have had that feeling without the struggle. But I also have no accessibility concerns so it’s a very one sided opinion.

Well I for one am looking forward to both not buying and not playing GTA6.

The books are very much of their time but still a fun read.

He goes undercover in one of the books. His pseudonym is Mark Hazard.

This comment has prompted me to but this and will be playing it later tonight. I still loved Stray but as a void keeper, this looks right up my boulevard.
- Comment on PS6 and next Xbox console are both aiming for 2027 release, separate reports claim | VGC 3 months ago:
I only got a ps5 two years ago and I’m set with games for years. I’m still working through PS4 games I never got round to. The idea of a new playstation at this point, particularly after the chip shortage debacle, seems absolutely absurd.

He’s the journalist who coined the term ‘enshitification’.
- Comment on Does it feel like the PS5's library is *severely* lacking compared to the PS4's around the same time in its lifecycle? 4 months ago:
At this point in the PS4 life cycle, I didn’t have access to as many games as I do at this point for the PS5 so I don’t think it is irrelevant. Platform exclusives at this point seem a bit silly anyway.
- Comment on Does it feel like the PS5's library is *severely* lacking compared to the PS4's around the same time in its lifecycle? 4 months ago:
Factoring in PS4 backwards compatibility, no not really… I got an external HDD this year and with all the PS4 games I bought but never got around to, my backlog is huge. I’m set for years without buying another game (though I still keep buying them).

- Comment on Actors that have been the least believable scientist castings, I’ll start. 5 months ago:
I always though with Farscape, spending time in that universe and interacting with all the mental space shit (plus all the stuff with his brain) made Crighton justifiably unhinged. He plays it fairly straight in the first few episodes.
