Yeah I was going to choose the sleep mask until I saw the coin. If everything goes my way then I effectively have the powers of the glasses and the frying pan, plus unlimited luxury from lotteries, discoveries, opportunities, etc. The cooldown needs to be nerfed, or maybe add a negative debuff to the tails side.
- Comment on Slap a "quantum" on it = Instant flux capacitor 11 months ago:
“observing changes the result” doesn’t mean conciousness attempting to look at it changes the result, there is nothing special about conciousness (in quantum mechanics)
“observing changes the result” means we try to measure atoms and fields but unfortunately our measurement tools are also made out of atoms and fields which interact with the atoms and fields we are trying to measure, giving us a different result than if we don’t attempt to measure it
It does bring up interesting questions about what the “real” behavior of reality is tho, since anything we observe is technically different than what it would be if left alone. We can only ever know what a slightly altered state of reality is
- Comment on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Devs Say Miles Morales Is the 'Main' Spider-Man From Now On - IGN 1 year ago:
Genuine question for the homies who hace played Spider-Man 2: did they write Miles to be any more interesting? I liked Spider-Man 1 Peter’s quips and jokes, like, a lot. I enjoyed playing as Miles in his own game, but I thought the character was boring, just, so so boring. Especially in contrast to Spiderverse’s version of Miles. I haven’t bought 2 yet, is Miles more fun to listen to this time?
- Comment on If Thanos had, instead of randomly wiping out 50% of all living things, he had instead in each species wiped out only the dumbest 50% what would the reaction of each avenger have been? 1 year ago:
naw I’d say Drax, Starlord maybe, and Hulk if he was in Hulk mode are all written to be comically stupid
but yeah that’s probably it, most would survive

I think that the motive should be allowed to be dumb, and their mistake was making Thanos appear lucid and competent. They really should have leaned into “the mad titan” thing and made him act more like an unhinged despot.

Man, the GBA had so many great RPGs on it, even if half of them were SNES rereleases. Also how did you get a copy of Mother 3, lol
- Comment on I Completed my First Final Fantasy game! 1 year ago:
Nope! There is literally nothing connecting them. Each game is a different story in a different setting. In many cases, they can be a completely different genre of videogame.

It’s unfortunate that the character development and stories in FF3 and FF5 are subpar, because their class systems are phenomenal. Vice versa for FF4 and FF6, which had great characters and stories but pretty boring character progression/customization IMO. It’s like Square could only do one or the other, not both.
- Comment on Not even FS Meter is safe 1 year ago:
Smash Ultimate’s ruleset manager is a treasure. I have a ruleset for 3 stock no items final destination sweaty mode, one for 3 minute timed match w/ items so everyone can play at the party no matter how often they die, one for stamina no items w/ FS meter so its like a classic fighting game, one titled BOMBS SUDDEN DEATH, one where you can only throw homerun bats at each other, etc. Fucking phenomenal.

I tried Divinity OS 2 split screen with a buddy, the game requires too much saving and reloading to have an enjoyable time tbh.

Right? BG3 seems like it’s going to be a gateway game into more CRPGs for me. I think I’ll try my best to enjoy Divinity OS 2 afterwards as well, but I think my problem with that game is more about the unbalanced, nonexistent class structure and random difficulty spikes rather than the genre, which BG3 fixed by using tried and true D&D rules. But maybe I’ll see it from a different angle and appreciate it more.
