- Comment on After announcing increased prices, Spotify to Pay Songwriters About $150 Million Less Next Year 6 months ago:
I’m in a similar boat, but I never feel fully satisfied to release a song (probably cuz I am a hobbyist and I suck lol).
But regardless, I think there is an element of selling your soul to Hollywood to really make it big, and I just don’t have that kind of commitment at this point in my life. I like relaxing and anonymity.

Nah, social media is like a hydra. Another “TikTok” will just be born from the ban.
Nothing is changing drastically until we have better data protection laws.
- Comment on TikTok's CEO is feeling the pressure and users are freaking out 6 months ago:
Facts. We need better data protection laws, especially now more than ever with the rise of AI

I wanna like Linux but I play too many games with anti-cheats that just don’t work on Linux yet :(
- Comment on Apple keeps flogging 8GB of RAM for its Mac computers but it's still a dead horse 7 months ago:
I agree with this. Pixel A series are pretty much the smoothest android experience for cheap. Plus they have a pretty good camera as a bonus. The low end Chinese phones and even the Samsung A series just don’t quite do it for me. I think OneUI was made for faster hardware.
- Comment on Apple loses top phonemaker spot to Samsung as iPhone shipments drop, research company says 7 months ago:
Keep in mind most of them are barely different from each other. It’s mostly a regional thing with laws, but a lot of them will recycle the panels or SoCs.

Check out the company Nothing. They make products like the Nothing Phone with transparent designs
- Comment on acceptable screws 7 months ago:
Yea but fuck the security torx screws. Also hot take, but underrated screw goes to tri-wing/Y. They’d be great screws if they weren’t security screws as well.

It’s the new “4k”. Just buzzwords to get clicks.
- Comment on Steam :: Introducing Steam Families 8 months ago:
That doesn’t mean that implementing fail safes would still be nice. I think Google has it so that your information can be dumped into another family’s email if the account hasn’t been active in 500 days or something along those lines.
Why not just have a select Steam inheritor account if inactive for more than XXXX amount of days. It could also crack down on dead steam accounts.

Copied and pasted my comment above:
Tinnitus life hack. Temporary relief though.
Cover your ears with your palms and have your fingers on the back of your head. Then tap for 10-15 seconds and make sure you hear those thumps. Afterwards your tinnitus goes away.

- Comment on Apple fans are starting to return their Vision Pros 8 months ago:
Not just porn, but 3D videos in general are stereoscopic videos where it’s side by side. They look like this. Without something proper to split the video across your eyes, you just see this 2D video floating in space rather than get the full 3D experience.
- Comment on Apple fans are starting to return their Vision Pros 8 months ago:
Oh yea, credit where credit is due. Apple products are always engineering marvels. But man you can do so much more for almost 1/10th of the cost.
- Comment on Apple fans are starting to return their Vision Pros 8 months ago:
Easier said than done. Apple likes to moderate every app and there’s 0 sideloading.

3D VR porn. You can still watch 2D pornhub porn.
- Comment on Xbox Next-Gen Console Confirmed, Will be 'Largest Technical Leap in a Hardware Generation' 8 months ago:
Ray tracing was the hot new buzzword after CP2077 showed off what consoles couldn’t at the time.
Unfortunately the tech didn’t even mature on PC yet, at least not without upscaling and now frame gen to help get it to more pleasing framerates.

I believe Apple just never made the 9 because that would have confused people. The 8 and the X dropped the same year due to the 10 year anniversary of iPhones so it was a special case.
Chronologically, they’d have to go back to the 9 and then the next phone would be the 11 because the X already exists, so going straight to 11 makes sense to not confuse the masses for me.

Business as usual. You get rich enough to buy out a smaller company and then funnel all of those resources into one main company so that your management now oversees even more power. Who cares how disconnected you are from the community when you’re sleeping on a large stack of money every night.
