Might be too late, now everyone already says it’s scarlet
- Comment on OpenAI pauses ChatGPT-4o voice 'Sky' that fans said ripped off Scarlett Johansson 5 months ago:
I don’t agree she or any of the voices sounded horny to be honest. But they sounded overly movie / voice actor like / emotional
- Comment on Neuralink to implant 2nd human with brain chip as 85% of threads retract in 1st 5 months ago:
For sure they learned something, they must have some ideas why those retracted. Also they confirmed viability of technology by doing tests before those retracted

While it sounds a like a dick move, there probably was a reason they would prefer other patients. Maybe it’s more risky to do surgery second time? I don’t really blame them for this one, their goal is to take best steps to develop technology before they make it widespread and really functional. I blame them for all of those animals death though.
- Comment on Larian Studios has two major games in development and opens new studio in Warsaw 5 months ago:
I’ve written sources although not links, which takes 5 brain cells to look up. Obviously I took IT earning averages per year. I compared Berlin to Warsaw which is clearly written in my response which you would know if you actually read it
- Comment on Larian Studios has two major games in development and opens new studio in Warsaw 5 months ago:
Let calculate then
Germany tax is up to 42% scalling linearly from 10k to 58 k Eur.
Polish B2B has tax of 12%.
Comparing capitals, Berlin is 28.3% more expensive than Warsaw (including rent).
Average salaries are estimated like this: 65125 EUR Germany (38358 after all taxes) 25200 EUR Poland (17207 after all taxes)
You earn 122% more in Germany.
- Minus cost of living it’s 95% So it’s 2x more
One more thing to consider is buying apartment prices, which are 41% cheaper in Warsaw (outside of city center) and 33.5% cheaper in city center.
So Is it worth moving for some poeple? Definetely, you were right. But person from Poland probably usually will get before average earnings there.
Is it as bad as you paint it? No, it’s barely 2x, not close to 3x.
Is it worth moving for me? Hell no, because I work remotely from small city in Poland which is 49% cheaper than Berlin and property prices are dirt cheap.
Numbers are taken from numbeo for costs of living and property prices. Salaries average are taken from online sources, and calculation of taxes was made by online calculators taking into consideration Healthcare etc.
I took normal employment contract values for Germany, because I heard from German coworkers this is the most common and preferred by employers there.
- Comment on Larian Studios has two major games in development and opens new studio in Warsaw 5 months ago:
Polish right now actually have too many developers in the country - so I would expect more Companies open offices as earnings stabilized
- Comment on Larian Studios has two major games in development and opens new studio in Warsaw 5 months ago:
Yet it’s still not worth for polish programmers to move literally anywhere - cost of living ratio to the earning is so great that devs don’t even move from Poland
- Comment on Larian Studios has two major games in development and opens new studio in Warsaw 5 months ago:
Why would they shake? If anything they are happy because we don’t have will get more high quality games and they support polish economy

Apple get get out of my face. In EU, it’s not even close as popular as in NA. I wouldn’t care if they stopped selling products here

It’s probably not staged considering how soon they are rolling this out
- Comment on Stack Overflow and OpenAI Partner 6 months ago:
Banning AI answers was reasonable though. People were posting were too many not verified and incorrect code snippets that entire quality of the platform would decrease.
- Comment on Rabbit R1 AI box revealed to just be an Android app 6 months ago:
Such a bad comparison. In the case of Debian and Ubuntu apps you run both apps on your hardware you already have. In case of rabbit, you could just run app on your phone instead of buying rabbit. Rabbit does not offer anything more than their app does when installed on android phone. It’s even better on android phone because phone is faster.

Mercedes fsd is pretty bad tho, it’s full self driving basically for marketing reasons

Why not both?
- Comment on Rabbit R1 is Just an Android App 6 months ago:
Rabbit is literally paying for processing those Ai requests. If everyone starts to download it to their android devices they will literally go bankrupt

Might not be sponsored directly, meaning 1password paid Microsoft, but: even if Microsoft just uses it to promote apps in their store it leads to their profit eventually.

You can still use third party apps, they are just not in the playstore
- Comment on YouTube’s ad blocker crackdown now includes third-party apps 7 months ago:
It’s kinda cute how they are utterly loosing with adblocker crackdown and now they are saying they will even handle their party apps. No company will handle an open source project full of talented people pissed of by ads.
- Comment on YouTube’s ad blocker crackdown now includes third-party apps 7 months ago:
Aaand now we have also sponsorblock to barely ever see ads in videos

- Comment on Movie industry demands US law requiring ISPs to block piracy websites 7 months ago:
Streaming services went complete degen mode (exclusives that require you 6 different subscriptions). So people went back to pirating. Old rule - you are less convinient than pirate sites, people will just pirate instead.
- Comment on Movie industry demands US law requiring ISPs to block piracy websites 7 months ago:
How about they start making good movies that are actually worth to go to cinema for instead of whatever they are doing
- Comment on Movie industry demands US law requiring ISPs to block piracy websites 7 months ago:
I mean, good luck with that. Pirate bay is never going down at this point.
