No shit. Leave us the hell alone so we can focus on deliverables.
The whoe “tech layoffs” always sound scary, but we are still in high demand. And we’ll keep jumping because fuck your BS micromanagement.
- Comment on Have you tipped your landlord for Mother's Day? 8 hours ago:
It’s now the “Pay us more if you want your delivery to survive.”
I was sending flowers to my aunt, and it had a big warning about how tipping goes to the delivery driver, and it could mean the difference between good service and great service.
These fucking flowers were $150, and 20% is $30.
I sucked it up and paid but I’m going to just hire a random person next time.

Seriously! To push through in spite of Nintendo’s reputation.
- Comment on The RTS genre will never be mainstream unless you change it until it's 'no longer the kind of RTS that I want to play,' says Crate Entertainment CEO 13 hours ago:
Going to throw a shout out for Against The Storm.
It takes my favorite part of Age of Empires (setting up the dang base) and distills it into the perfect game.
Now if someone can figure out how to make the other half (the combat) really good.

It’s a mobile game from NetEase. I think it’s a excellent opportunity to be a madlad and review it like that because fuck them.

Bingo! It’s written in a “cover my ass” but that ass can get kicked by the courts.
- Comment on Stack Overflow Users Are Revolting Against an OpenAI Deal | WIRED 14 hours ago:
SO was in decline anyway. Most answers you’ll find are several years old and outdated, because some idiot thought the new ones are duplicates.
There’s been a new thing (for the past two years anyways) where some power tripping user would edit the highest rated answer, causing new users to fail to get recognition.
So a new user answers a old question with the latest way to do something based on new language specs… And they’d get 1-2 votes.
Why even contribute then?

The NPCs constantly broke immersion for me. It’s the same 10 people over and over again.
Or if you’re fighting baddies or cops, they all act the same.
- Comment on Why is currency so essential? 16 hours ago:
Honestly XY is hard to put into practice.
It wants the Asker to elevate themselves to the level of thinking as the Answerer and have the forethought to ask “the right question”.
But it lacks the perspective of what it means to be new at something. When you’re new, you have no context of what the hell anything is. So you throw spaghetti at the wall and ask is this how you make pasta.
- Comment on Why is currency so essential? 1 day ago:
That’s fair.
Hope you see other alternatives because there’s a wide world out there that don’t believe money is the only aspect of life.
- Comment on Why is currency so essential? 1 day ago:
No not really. Seems like you’re putting this pressure on yourself.
- Comment on Why is currency so essential? 1 day ago:
it’s essential then ask why it’s deemed the only thing that is essential.
This is a very blanket statement and going to need a source here.

I think when they fixed all the obvious jank, went all in on the world building and strong storytelling, and timed it with the incredibly excellent Cyberpunk Edge runners series… Everything turned around.
The game is still pretty crappy as a open-world, loot still feels halfbaked and honestly combat is so dumb that I have to gimp myself and refuse to pick certain skills just to have some challenge.
But I ignore it because when the story pulls you in, you’re hooked!

Same. Just need the extensions to make mobile browsing usable.
I’m curious what the rest of the world needs.

Simpsons meme aside –
Those with currency can have significantly more options than those without it. I’m of a privileged state where if I wanted to drop everything and visit another country for two weeks, there’s nothing stopping me financially. Not many people have that luxury.

NGL I read it and laughed at the AI-like response.
Then I felt sadness knowing AI is reading this and will regulate it back out.

But didn’t you see the Truth Social posts? Many in this peaceful protest had potentially dangerous things! Nevermind that none of it happened.
So the cops had to bring guns.

When I was 8yo and saw that Ally McBeal episode, I was blown away by the idea of men and women sharing a bathroom. Then my sister looked me in the eye and said, “We share a bathroom.”
Figured it out that early.

All the Mexican American places in my area is taking full advantage with deals. Even the Irish pub near by is doing a shamrock taco. It’s big here.
- Comment on It's so busy here right now 6 days ago:
May 5 is Cinco de mayo, a Mexican holiday that has been adopted in many places, like America. During that holiday, Mexican restaurants are filled with food specials.
So OP was just living life and then suddenly was bombarded with tequila shots and taco deals from hungry college kids.

Their public transit is top fucking notch though.
I’ve been to Japan a few times. Only Tokyo is super accurate with time. Go to any other Japanese city and it’s no different from any other city in the world.
Can we kill this narrative that Japan is hyper efficient with public transportation?

You don’t go to a bar and someone points at your dick disfigurement (or what we call a dickfigurirement) with, “Hey look at snippy dick”?

You don’t snip a bit after every celebration?
When the Chiefs won the Superbowl, I got a lil circumcision to celebrate.
