- Comment on Tech billionaire reveals he is endorsing Donald Trump in 2024 election despite being a 'lifelong Democrat' 1 week ago:
Tech billionaire votes for his personal financial interests. More news that you already knew about at 11.
- Comment on It's because of Gerald's Game, isn't it? 2 weeks ago:
Stephen Graham Jones’ The Only Good Indians was wonderful, and Augusta Bazterrica’s Tender is the Flesh was dystopian nightmare fuel. Both absolutely excellent books.
- Comment on How come liberals dont hate conservatives the way conservatives hate liberals 6 months ago:
Hating people never leads to logical outcomes. I’d rather accept that they’ve been somewhat brainwashed and battle against it, than hate my neighbour.

For a really good riff on this same idea, I like “How to Lie With Statistics” by Darrell Huff, and it’s all illustrated!
Great, easy to understand breakdown of how statistics can be manipulated.

- Comment on Wyze says camera breach let 13,000 customers briefly see into other people’s homes 8 months ago:
No apology for Wyze’s breach, but only 1500 of the possible alerts for not-your-home were clicked on/viewed. Gotta love sensational headlines.
Also, if you’re using a cloud-based camera for private spaces? Well, that’s kinda a decision you made for yourself.

Genuinely don’t comprehend why anyone uses anything other than Firefox. FF + uBlock makes the internet so much better

Bunch of loser crybabies wondering why they’ve been excluded when everyone hates their stupid asses for being objectively awful humans.
Eat shit, TERFs. Go die in a ditch, Nazis.

Ah, that’s $999 Canadian. Right now our exchange against the US$ is brutal.

This sounded fantastic until I looked it up and it’s A THOUSAND DOLLARS???
I love my cat and I hate scooping litter, but definitely not a grand worth of either…
- Comment on Having trouble deciding what game to play next . which one of these games should i try 1 year ago:
Titanfall 2 might fit that scenario the best. Great story but easily payable, lots of quick action, not crazy long and pretty much on rails unless you’re a collectible completionist.

- Comment on Lords to debate mandating swift bricks in new homes in England 1 year ago:
Timber?! That’s a fucking terrible idea. It’s inexcusable that modern homes aren’t build out of mud and wattle. Lower carbon, more sustainable, and you don’t have to do anything and end of life because it’s a stupid fucking idea that no one thinks is good.
