Well, I’d definitely call that an improvement for those psychos who watch movies there in incontable chunks… (Yeah, this species exists).
- Comment on iPad Pro with M4 chip boasts impressive performance jump compared to just-released M3 MacBook Air 6 days ago:
It is, but it would be like saying Android is just another Linux variant.
What I want to stress in my initial comment is that the OS is so heavily modified and focused on optimization and RAM management, that it can’t hardly work for power users when multitasking is on the board.

Making the prior iPad “obsolete” Apple nailed it 🤪

Perhaps with a more robust OS, such as Linux or macOS the battery and thermals would just not suffice?
I mean, an iPad is basically a larger phone, which I think can get hot enough if pushing it to its limit
Also I don’t think the RAM would be enough for intensive tasks, the device as it is could be pretty good for gaming though, if only the title list wouldn’t be a shit for the most part.
But at the same time, a MacBook Air doesn’t seem much bigger compared to the biggest iPad available.
- Comment on Apple Will Revamp Siri to Catch Up to Its Chatbot Competitors [using generative AI] 1 week ago:
This makes sense, now that I think about it, there used to be a tweak that mimics Siri for devices that didn’t support it, it was called Sara lol.
And yeah Siri was better but still Sara shipped some interesting ideas like keyboard support, like any ideas that Apple took from old tweaks.

Always has been.
Did Siri be good at any moment though?
I remember it sucked since its conception and in the most recent iOS versions too.

You got me thinking here, what is it when the hospital realizes about this fuck up? They just kidnap him, sedate him and remove the improvements? 🤔
- Comment on Streaming is cable now | Seventeen years after Netflix and Hulu kicked off a streaming revolution, it’s looking more like cable than ever. 1 week ago:
What is that Hulu you are talking about, we never got that in Mexico (nor Pandora now that I am talking about it).
In this day and age where everyone wants its piece of the cake it is weird to me that they never cared about more countries xd.

- Comment on What's your favourite era for video games? 1 week ago:
I think the handheld era is my favorite, it basically ended with the 3DS, but it is the DS which I really can’t put down, I am playing for the first time Chrono Trigger on it, and it is my Jump Ultimate Stars machine (Wimmfi), also have some other bangers as well, but I’ll bore you if I citate them all.
But hey, don’t get me wrong, the current handheld era is good too, we have the Switch, The Steam Deck and a plethora of good quality Chinese handhelds.

What is your setup? It works perfectly fine for me with Android mobile, Android TV (Shield TV Pro) and macOS.
- Comment on [deleted] 2 weeks ago:
Stremio/Kodi + a debrid service or your HDDs carefully crafted with content though Arr services and with Plex/Jellyfin, or both.
That setup will be infinitely better than any streaming service.

- Comment on DropBox says hackers stole customer data, auth secrets from eSignature service 2 weeks ago:
I used it a lot when I was in college, it was very useful for that case scenario, I’m talking around 2011-2014, after that it is just sitting there without much usage from my side (especially since I got a Synology NAS), I remember doing “hacks” to get more free storage lol.
Anyway, I think cloud services are used a lot nowadays, just as they were when they became mainstream…

Does the Wii U do a worse job with those through emulation?
I do have a Wii, but even with a component cable the looks are not enough for me in a modern TV, that is why I thought having the Wii U HDMI port would make things look better.
- Comment on Monthly Recommendations Thread: What are you playing? 4 weeks ago:
That game is one of the biggest reasons that I want a Wii U, the biggest would be the hack possibilities, Pretendo, and GCN/Wii emulation.
- Comment on How to revitalize this sub? 4 weeks ago:
I can’t post about game impressions that often because I am very slow at my gaming… With that said I just finished The Last Window for Nintendo DS again (remember next to nothing about the plot) and god I had a blast with it!
I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a visual novel, but it would be wiser to play Hotel Dusk first if you haven’t yet, as The Last Window is a sequel.

- Comment on YouTube’s ad blocker crackdown now includes third-party apps 4 weeks ago:
Oh, I definitely have experienced “The following content is not available on this app.” Before, but I thought it was just a thing of my Revanced version outdated because I rarely update it… Which I’m gonna do just now 😁
I hope this doesn’t bring too many issues to Smart Tube, which is where I do 99% of my YT usage (and I have yet to be bothered with any bug).
