Replace it when your daily battery life starts becoming unacceptable or if the battery itself starts swelling.

It disappeared for me too a while back.
- Comment on So what is Shizuku? 1 year ago:
It’s not as powerful as root but it does give you more capabilities. You would need to check the individual app for what functionality and limitations it has with Shizuku.
- Comment on Any reputable Ad Blocking app on the Play Store? 1 year ago:
You won’t find any ad blockers in the Play Store. The best you can do is a browser with built-in ad blocking or an extension.
Otherwise if you want an app, you’d have to sideload it.

So would you be willing to pay for AdGuard or not? You can get a lifetime license on StackSocial for cheap.
- Comment on Android backup for non-root/stock 1 year ago:
Files and photos can be backed up multiple ways. You could connect a USB flash drive, upload to the cloud, or transfer them using Nearby Share or other wireless file transfer app.
SMS can be backed up using apps such as SMS Backup & Restore (by Synctech) or Super Backup and Restore. I don’t know if these apps also work for RCS chats though.
App data is the hardest. If it doesn’t connect to the cloud (like games) or have a native backup method then you would have to hope the Google backup works for it or try ADB backup (again this won’t work for every app).

QuickEdit has cloud support. However I have not tested it myself so YMMV.
- Comment on Looking for: Photo Viewer app for local and NAS files 1 year ago:
You could just use a file manager app to handle the moving and copying of files.
- Comment on As an OG Reddit Sync user of over 10 years, all this arguing really brings a tear to my eye. 🥲 1 year ago:
I use Sync because it was my favorite client for reddit but I’m definitely gonna hold out on paying until there is a sale or something. My usage of Lemmy is not that high at the moment.
