On top of that, moneys tight right now. Saw 3 months of spotify premium dangled for 10 bucks like a week or two ago and it just seemed desperate to me. Still haven’t come back tho, broke, and I feel for these employees.

- Comment on What's the best game you played this year (that didn't come out this year)? 1 year ago:
Final Fantasy XIII-2, modded with HD upscaled textures, community fixes, and Reshade. 2K Resolution w/ Imrpoved AA + HDR + Motion Blur + Ray Tracing made this game look modern af 😎
And for the best game this year part, the developers really said “so FFXIII was linear? Well how about time is not linear!” Jumping back to old locations surprised me in that I actually wanted to go back to them and do optional content. And beneath the extra ass music (lol), is some of the most down right horrific/sad stuff shown in a FF game. Like the straight up Zombie apocalypse-like C’eith outbreak in the future that Serah even being near causes people to turn, she apologizes to them in battle as the turned enemies try to use remedy on theirselves to no avail. Being the last human alive and having to deal with seeing the last people alive dying off till it’s just you on the planet. The cruel fate of some characters and the risks taken storywise and gamewise really surprised me.

We also shouldn’t be conditioned to just accept terms of services with no recourse, by this point I think most people just press accept and know by now whatever it is there, isn’t worth the trouble of fighting to have it changed, so companies can legally have a free for all with your privacy, cause you consented to things you’ll later find out you didn’t even know you consented for.

Cool story, ngl I think Jedi Blue is a blacklisted phrase on Reddit, it’s not talked about at all and discussion is suppressed. I thought the case went away, but I think it got bundled into the bigger antitrust case. Fuck Google

Jared Kushner gave the Saudi’s top secret intelligence information on SA dissidents in exchange for 2 billion…and then MBS had them all trapped in his Hotel to be interrogated, tortured, and likely killed. And now Trumps not even in power anymore and Elon gave them essentially the same thing Jared did. He should have stuck to ripping people off on PayPal, gd it.

- Comment on Google gets its way, bakes a user-tracking ad platform directly into Chrome 1 year ago:
The article mentioned Apple implementing ad blocking which affected Googles revenue, but I think the author forgot extensions. I had read that adblockers were eating into Google’s revenue at an alarming rate.
So first adblocks were compromised (was it Adblock or Adblock Pro that had that whitelisting controversy?). When that didn’t work, they took advantage of quicklinking/tracking people through Google AMP links, which also allowed advantages to be given to Facebook tracking through Androids and Chrome users as well as ad bidding (Jedi Blue - a “mindtrick” these assholes named it) in exchange for FB not setting up a competing ad service plan/ecosystem. And now we’re here, with Google disabling extensions altogether and just straight up tracking you directly in Chrome.
Adblocking really, really screwed them over. On one hand good, but on the other fuck Google.
