- Comment on PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds creator wants to build a "metaverse" but says it might take 15 years and can't explain what it will look like yet 1 day ago:
At this point, he’d be better advised to spin up an OpenSimulator instance, hire Firestorm to build a custom viewer, and focus on building his world. Reinventing the wheel — again — is pointless.

Is this the same PrivacyGuides that tried to burn PrivacyTools to the ground a few years ago? I wouldn’t expect much from them if that’s the case. Find another instance and start over.

Yes, but he’ll gaslight the rest of us into calling it “bee-GOH” Games.

Well, Bibi got The Donald re-elected. Guess he can afford to agree a ceasefire in Lebanon — especially doing it before they and their supporters start hitting back.

The upcoming Dragon Age: The Veilguard will somewhat surprisingly not use Denuvo at all
There’s the tell. Publishers might start listening to their customers, who generate income, rather than their vendors’ sales personnel, who create expenses. He’s panicked over a potential existential crisis.
- Comment on 'It even breaks my heart a bit': Denuvo pushes back on its haters, says Steam forums are a 'very toxic, very hostile environment' 2 months ago:
If I read a forum where people are known to object to what I do, there’s a fair chance I’ll get my feelings hurt. That’s on me.

Given how much data they hold on a significant number of people, that’s mildly terrifying.

I hate stereotypes, but it must be said: The one sure way to know an Israeli politician is lying is to check if their lips are moving.

- Comment on Saber won't say whether their CEO wrote this highly baity comment about games "imposing morals on gamers" 3 months ago:
Whether he said it or not, social engineering is perhaps as inappropriate in games as in schools. I agree with the sentiment that I play games to get away from reality, not to get slapped with extra-strength RL issues.

Someone wants to remind them that Ehmke lost. There’s such a backlash against her brand of approved discrimination that DEI is being dismantled, made illegal, and generally thrown in the dustbin. She’s probably not the best person to advise on equality issues.

I’m not the one who brought athletics into this. I’m just following the conversation. But no, “esports” do not meet the definition of “sport.”
- Comment on Valve bans Razer and Wooting’s new keyboard features in Counter-Strike 2 4 months ago:
“Sport” is defined as athletic activity, and “athlete/athletic” refers to physical exercise, agility, stamina, and strength. So no, playing a video game doesn’t count.
If girls make you sweat, good for you. Sex could arguably be athletic, depending on what you get up to.
