- Comment on Study Claims 4K/8K TVs Aren't Much Better Than HD To Your Eyes 1 week ago:
well yes a microscopic 4k display is no different than a 1080p one to our eyes.
but theyre claiming it doesnt matter on TVs in the usual setting which is just untrue.
- Comment on Study Claims 4K/8K TVs Aren't Much Better Than HD To Your Eyes 1 week ago:
simply incorrect. in some circumstances sure 1080p is sufficient, but if the tv is big, close, or both. then 4k is a definite and noticeable improvement.
4k looks sharper as long as the actual content is real 4k, even from afar.

I would rather wait 10 years than have it come out half baked and lose what wouldve been forever.

True, but the old generation will not fare any better if something they were born with suddenly went away.

The only thing the internet allows you to do is find information.
You don’t need “pre internet information gathering” experience to figure out where information is held. I know the location of many libraries off the top of my head.
I can go there, figure out the system they use, read a few books to find what I need, then head home.

- Comment on Are we living in a golden age of stupidity? 2 weeks ago:
and you think youre special? most people who cant read shit on paper cant read it on the internet. “reading books, and manuals in paper format” doesnt take that much brain power

if youre trying to argue, you just proved my point.

the example you gave is not actual players and wasn’t meant to be actual players, some are made up names but some are possibly real usernames of players that have made the sacrifice at the end of the scroller shooter.

- Comment on Hope you weren’t planning to play PhysX games on Nvidia’s new 50-series GPUs 8 months ago:
mirrors edge drops to under 10 fps when breaking glass which generates physx objects… with a 9800x3d.
the current physx cpu implementation is artificially shit, the cpu can easily handle it nowadays but it depends on skilled community members or nvidia themselves to unshit it.
