Temu will save us all with 3rd party Chinese parts that are cheaper and only slightly buggier and no docs. I’m ready for the fight.

I liken it to the dragon sickness Thorin had, an all consuming greed because you can think of nothing else. Stunted mind syndrome?

Big tech is making wayyyy to much money selling artificially inflated parts and pieces, Some people may buy into a second generation Web TV but gamers and builders won’t. ( I know - I was there 3000 years ago when net nanny’s were buying Web TV and I was selling Packard Bells with 4MB RAM).

My mini pc or laptop connected via HDMI to a projector setup makes me more happy every day when I see crap like this. Bonus is you can move it to the patio for outside movie night and it’s a whopping five pounds. Same goes for moving apartments because I’ve always moved too often.

Build your own open WRT router or get one of theirs. It’s the best way to go and you don’t get dragged through the monthly fee wringer for stupid child security or other stuff that is not well designed.

They’ve been pushing the thin client for years and it’s never taken off. You and I wouldn’t be the target for this machine and neither would gamers or content creators. This is for business or grandparents.

It’s not that far off. I woke up to an Internet outage and none of my home lighting routines fired off and I couldn’t control my lights via wifi. I got it under control shifting to Bluetooth but for a second it was infuriating.

I can’t understand where something so trivial and minor like hdr would be more important than not having copilot and one drive shoved down your throat. Personally if I never had any hdr features I wouldn’t bat an eye. Not saying you don’t have a point.
