If you’ve ever been desperately poor and lived at the whims of your vices it’s very relatable. I feel like the social commentary is actually extremely heavy handed and not really that deep. I need to finish but it exists as kind of an artistic capture of a type of life we try to ignore but very much exists all around you, and maybe it’s privledge and a cerrain amount of arrogance that lets you think you can just ignore it because of ‘taste’.

Although yeah it’s a bit of a gross out show and I find it hard to get through. It’s not the slapstick kind of gross like, say, Ping Pong Club (look it up), but definitely more leans on the shock value when it can.

People do live like this though it’s upsettingly accurate. Don’t ask how I know.
