- Comment on Why do the majority of women still take their partner's last name? 1 day ago:
Can’t speak for all women, but I (and I imagine some others) changed my name because I knew I’d be having kids and didn’t want there to be any confusion. Like, if I’m traveling internationally or if my kid ends up in the hospital, I don’t want one of us having to fish out a birth certificate to prove we’re both the parents. Also I’m of the percent that absolutely hated my long last name so the chance for my name to be shorter and nicer was a no brainer.

Wow, this is really well explained. Thanks! Interesting that some would evolve to have translucent skin and green bones to camouflage instead of just developing green pigment in the skin.

Why are the bones green? Like, what makes them green? Is it something in their diet or is it something to do with the surrounding muscle?

Another vote for WalkScape! I’m doubling my walking time since joining, and it’s feeds the “gotta chop 100 birch trees” part of my brain.

Time to break out the grow lights I guess. I had no idea they could turn purple, it freaked me out! The specks on the leaves are just soil from me planting another plant next to it, just haven’t dusted it off yet. Is it okay to replant it while it’s fragile?

Crawl is a holiday tradition in our house! I know it’s on PC and Switch, not sure what else though.

This looks delicious!! I love wood ear mushrooms so much, thanks for the recipe!

Oh! Dehydrated mushrooms rehydrate and cook like normal? I use dehydrated mushrooms for soup stocks often in the winter, I had no idea I could cook them! What a waste! I do manage to sneak in mushrooms here and there, but I could eat just like a whole pan of mushrooms all on my own! Always makes me a little sad to hide them away.
Regarding growing mushrooms, how do you prevent other unwelcome guests? I’m in the PNW so mold is a big concern
