- Comment on 'Borderlands 4 is a premium game made for premium gamers' is Randy Pitchford's tone deaf retort to the performance backlash: 'If you're trying to drive a monster truck with a leaf blower's motor, you're going to be disappointed' 2 days ago:
So… I shouldn’t plan on playing this on a Steamdeck when it gets down to $19.99?
- Comment on A nice tall glass of OJ 2 days ago:
I don’t know how common it is but some households might use frozen orange concentrate and would use a pitcher for storage.
(Frozen orange concentrate is sold as small cylinders in the frozen food section that you mix with water.)

Im sure someone will post it - but there’s a site with all the episodes that have been removed for whatever reason.

Can I persuade you towards a Steamdeck?
Main thing with those is a lack of extensibility and support from Chinese management.
At worse you buy one of those, find its limits and then upgrade to something else and use it for homelabing.

- Comment on Trump's video on the shooting of Kirk appears to be AI 1 week ago:
Could it be similar to the recent Will Smith incident where YouTube was doing AI enchantments?
I think I could see AI editing being the issue. But I have a hard time believing they’d just deep fake an entire segment for this to be played nationally. I don’t doubt that day will come – but would like to think it wouldn’t be for an issue like this.

I know absolutely nothing about what I’m about to say.
But I wonder if VR having 2 actual physical displays makes handoff between devices less complicated.

- Comment on Big Surprise—Nobody Wants 8K TVs 2 weeks ago:
Yup - not a solution for everyone but there are typically Quality Of Service (QOS) services on routers that will do something similar - where it will target a certain threshold.

- Comment on How do phone scammers work? I get them trying to get another persons money. But how do they get all the info and now can do voice fakes. I highly doubt they just pick a random person and say fuck them 2 weeks ago:
They can be targeted. A group was monitoring my social media and targeted my grandparents for money with specific information.

- Comment on YouTube is now flagging accounts on Premium family plans that aren't in the same household 2 weeks ago:
Deactivated Premium recently. I used their music app when driving – expecting some ads now - nope, it just doesn’t allow running in the background anymore.
Seems like such a hostile thing - I’d like to think running ads would be a positive net income for them. (Now that I think of it - maybe they don’t have it built out into their music service.)
- Comment on Hypothetically, if you have memory problems and need to write down events, is there a system which you can verify that its not tampered with? (Like a digital checksum, but for a journal) 2 weeks ago:
Does an immutable password protected journal suffice? Or do you need the ability to edit past entries? Or do others need the ability to read entries without the password?

Then I would edit it to “he claims he’s Mexican”.
My initial pass at it was racism and I would like to assume that wasn’t your intent and didn’t want it to detract from the rest of your discussion points.
- Comment on [deleted] 2 weeks ago:
I would advise editing the first part a bit. You start off with “he’s <demographic>” - like that clears something up.

Good to hear.

Claude Code Jetbrains AI Open Router
The usual Dev work. Claude is primary. Jetbrains is on the fence but can be nice for autocompletes and backup. OpenRouter is for API/script usages.
