I will say, even given all the drama around the original creator in the last few weeks, Booklore has a solid front end experience, is quite flexible, and generally stable app. It’s a bummer the creator acted childishly (again and again), but I know I’ll be looking to use whatever the v2 of this becomes.

I did this switch a few months back when Readarr really started to fall apart on me. Booklore has been excellent for my normal ebook library, epub, and a few pdfs. The exception being larger comic files which I find it struggles with. I’ve been using it directly connected via OPDS and it’s syncing service to KOReader, and it’s been awesome.
Overall, I highly recommend Booklore at this point!

I’ve currently got progress syncing through Calibre-Web-Automated, but I’d also tried it via KoInsights which I’m using for syncing reading stats. I’m in the process of migrating to my library to BookLore which also has a sync server.

I’ve been synching progress and stats between a pair of devices! It’s been great since it runs well on my haul broken kindle & my android.
There is some(maybe a bit more than some) setup time to get used to the layers of menus, but it’s a pretty robust app.

Unfortunately I believe it isn’t available on iOS. On Android you can install it from a few sources. Directly from GitHub, or via F-Droid(or something similar). I’m with you though, that feature is key to me not scrolling forever.

I’m honestly surprised how many people I see doing this. No judgement , it’s just now how I use the device.
I couldn’t give up my syncing of progress! I love being able to pick up on the Kindle app on my phone if I’m in a waiting room then back to my kindle proper at home.
I’m jazzed to finally have been able to jailbreak my device so I can use KoReader on both the phone and Kindle and keep the same experience.
