Texas checking in… We don’t have as good of names like that but we have cities like Paris, Athens, and Odessa, TX. I think there are maybe 20 to 25 international city names that would make a fascinating road trip and probably be over 1K miles/1600 Km.

- Comment on From a cyber security aspect how hazardous are random mini PCs from Ali Express/Amazon if you are starting with a fresh OS install? 1 month ago:
I’d at least get one with a motherboard from a reputable company and install my own Win/Linux build. Too much chance for bad actors otherwise.

Listen Linda… Sometimes you go to HD, buy stuff, and then forget you have to get it home.

Would you care to expand on this? I understand many of the pieces mentioned but am not an expert on this and am trying to learn.

This seems like a manufacturer supported page. Good comparison of products but the title acts like there will be different makers included. Anyone have a suggestion on a reliable dash cam for a good price?

Simply responding due to our related names. The Frank part… Not the pooping.

Did I break a rule by adding a word in the title that is not in the story? I don’t have any of these cameras.

Oh no… no need. Just frustrating how Google buys up good companies to expand their footprint and then shutters them when they’ve used them up for their temporary worth. It’s like Smartthings. Amazing Kickstarter. Amazing community. Amazing API. Samsung slowly ruined it all to connect their devices.
- Comment on Plumbing mystery - what is this? 8 months ago:
It’s strange that it has a 90 for the clean out and also has an open connection on the right. If this is a vent stack it should be stinking up the place always. I guess maybe when the washing machine drains it creates some negative pressure that causes methane to leak in. If the vertical pipe is actually a vent stack you should be able to plug the open connection on the right side. Another comment is make sure any p trap has a bit of water in it. Traps will also leak methane when they start to dry out.

Where will the target be? Online or local? Rsync is really easy to use and the target files are browse-able. I could be too dense but I find online buckets aren’t easily browse-able. Even a homemade NAS might be a good choice and it’s easily scalable.

I’m not saying I disagree or agree, but I’ve heard a lot of friends and colleagues start to decry inflation as simply a tool of the government. I haven’t heard this argument so often before. Am I missing new data or a political trend? I’m not huge in social media or TV news FYI.

But what about the water? I need to see a connection to a water line with a float to turn in when low! Stat!
