I wonder if Frieren has contingency against perfect copies. They are mimics but on much higher level.
There are few interesting world building tidbits this episode that makes me go: "Hmmmm… " What are the coins? Are they something akin to geocache log? Was that crystal a dungeon core? What happened to that one lone wolf when facing a copy of themself? Will the golems be strong enough against copy of frieren?
The pipe organs in the soundtrack really give that dungeon synth vibe.

I think the writing during exposition and serious moments don’t flow like real conversations. It looks like a lot of telling and not enough showing from rule “show don’t tell”.

As polish/english wikipedia claims Copernicus didn’t really have been made heretic for his work directly. There was an Ordinary that had been his rival and accused him of heresy. Although he was ostracized by some people. His work wasn’t presented as a theory but as hypothesis and didn’t made it to the banned books list until 17th & 18th century, when Kepler added some cool ellipses and made it an actual theory on how the world works.

So Akane has wrong information about that body wasn’t in fact Aqua’s father / murderer. A witch(?) (She totally looks like a witch) has manipulated Rudy to begin searching for her own revenge on the manipulator . Akane gaslights Ruby that Aqua wasn’t searching for his revenge the whole time. The viewers know who is the manipulator. Why does some random girl has star eyes?! Why the Murderer has star eyes? WHAT DO THEY MEAN?!!1111!!!???!?! Why Aqua lost his eye!?

Girl eating PizzaThis really slaps. Great fights. Superb Animation. Feels like deep worldbuilding. Good soundtrack. Great story boarding with match cuts.
Sadly I am not really the target audience but I will keep an eye on it. This could be a hidden gem for the fall season.

Yes. When I will comeback from work I can share it. Idk how it will fare as a 3d print as it isn’t optimized for that, also there are small feystones missing.

This episode struck my emotional chords so perfectly in sync, so perfectly tuned to my emotional state that I have started resonating.
I am giving a 10/10 rating only to pieces that moved me as a person, and this episode moved me as no other in over a year.
