I initially thought it was the Pokemon logo at the bottom and was fairly confused
- Comment on Birdwatching 6 months ago:
This one was subtle enough I’m counting it. Took me thirty seconds of not understanding the joke before suddenly realizing I lost
- Comment on What's killing my plants? 6 months ago:
Also looks like it could be spider mites. I’m not sure how common they are outside of large scale agriculture, but I’ve found them on my grandma’s flowers before. Underside of the leaf may have small traces of spider webs, but the mites themselves are very difficult to see without a magnifying glass without having a trained eye for them
- Comment on How did we get humans on the moon in 1969 and are still struggling to get the Starship rocket to launch properly? 6 months ago:
I may have missed it in another comment, but I believe part of it is the cost of lives. During the space race someone dying would’ve just been part of the risk. Now we are using more automation and a human fatality might risk a company’s ability to continue its pursuit.
- Comment on Disney+ has started cracking down on password sharing in the US 9 months ago:
Might miss out on a one time deal that locks your price for a year, but even if its fifteen bucks for a month to catch up on things I want to watch I’m fine switching services each month.
- Comment on Disney+ has started cracking down on password sharing in the US 9 months ago:
Just get the service for a month and drop it after catching up on the things you want. I keep it so I can watch bluey with my daughter, but I rotate most of my services.
- Comment on Music Piracy Is Back, Baby 9 months ago:
So what is the best way to actually own music? I miss having a physical file I could put wherever and listen to anywhere, but haven’t resorted to pirating anything since limewire
- Comment on I'm at a roulette table. I only bet on red. When I lose I triple my bet, when I win I restart. Is this a roulette strategy? 10 months ago:
That last part is key, higher max table comes work a higher minimum bet so the ratio stays roughly the same. I suppose you could move tables as your bet needed to increase and switch back to the low table if you manage to win one making cash reserves the main limiting factor, but I’ve always envisioned the table rules are set in a way to prevent someone with deep pockets from exploiting strategies
- Comment on I'm at a roulette table. I only bet on red. When I lose I triple my bet, when I win I restart. Is this a roulette strategy? 10 months ago:
I didn’t get through all the comments, but most of the top ones and haven’t yet seen the most basic casino check to stop these strategies is a table maximum. Same with doubling your bet each hand you lose at black jack, one bad run and you hit table max and you can’t raise your bet far enough
- Comment on Did Amazon change their theme colors or did I unknowingly change them myself? 11 months ago:
Dolphins and Jets colors. Black Friday football game on Amazon video on Friday. Guess that’s how they’re promoting it.
- Comment on Kongregate, Digital Bros. cut jobs in a growing wave of video game industry layoffs 1 year ago:
Kongregate is still a thing? I thought the move away from flash games killed the names of my youth but I suppose they transitioned somewhere

It isn’t a draw for me in the slightest, but the historic interest in her tour is still an interesting phenomenon

Any guesses how ridiculous Taylor Swift’s weekend numbers get? I’m not much of a movie goer but these posts are fun.
- Comment on Phone is acting like mobile data is turned off when it's not 1 year ago:
It was in the APN settings. As simple as checking the box for the profile already in there. But I’ve been trying to figure it out for a week and didn’t even know what APN settings were to think to look so thank you!
- Comment on Phone is acting like mobile data is turned off when it's not 1 year ago:
I might have one I could try, but I think straight talk might tie the SIM card to the device. If I remember right when I get a new phone I can’t move the SIM to the new phone and have it work
- Comment on Phone is acting like mobile data is turned off when it's not 1 year ago:
Yes, their only suggestion was restarting my phone which I needed to be on the line with them. It didn’t work do before starting that process over again when they’re open again tomorrow I figured I’d look into other ideas.

- Comment on Relocating to access a lower cost of living as a worker is a fallacy. The survival margin is the same everywhere. The margin is a measure of opportunity. Exporting wealth risks marooning one's self. 1 year ago:
It works if you already have some semblance of wealth or can work remote. Someone looking to retire may find it doesn’t work where they are but they can buy the same house for half the cost in South Dakota and suddenly things pencil out.
And other instances may work as well. If a job is paying $20 an hour in a big city and $17 in a different area but rent is 30 percent cheaper it can be a difference maker, but relocating is expensive.
Just wanted to defend the other side of your blanket statement
