See my comment about Resilio sync above
- Comment on Selfhosted alternative to google keep/onenote/evernote/goodnotes? 3 weeks ago:
Resilio sync works great for that since syncthing is on the out. I actually prefer Resilio anyways

That P stands for “photographic” so that’s (jay-fegh)

You should read this from her own words. I know you won’t read it all the way through because your mind is probably made up. Maybe someone will come along and see her in a different light though. I read the whole thing. Zero hate of any kind. jkrowling.com/…/j-k-rowling-writes-about-her-reas…

Generate hydrogen at night from nuke plants.
- Comment on I liked Fusion 360, I like Onshape - but I'd rather like something that I won't lose over the whims of one company. So, what? 4 months ago:
I went the Solid works hobbyist route, quite frankly, it’s well worth it. I tried freecad for awhile but it just didn’t compare.
- Comment on I will not be taking questions. 4 months ago:
Yes this was 1.0, 2.0 improved the tech by going under instead of over. Much more convenient single hand operation as well as pet protection.

The beauty of open source software
- Comment on OrcaSlicer V2.1.0 Official Release 4 months ago:
I’d say all of the above. Its integration with Kipper is also very good
- Comment on OrcaSlicer V2.1.0 Official Release 4 months ago:
Which is a fork of Slic3r

And it’s fantastic!

- Comment on Linux Inventor Says He Doesn’t Believe in Crypto 5 months ago:
Right, his talk about how he’s not very good at computers is pretty funny. I don’t understand the crypto hate on Lemmy. Although I guess I don’t understand a lot of why things are hated here. I guess crypto is too close to capitalism maybe? Freedom is frowned upon here.

You being downvoted is pretty crazy… Your statement is valid
- Comment on SGE, ChatGPT and the likes are the stupidest thing to come from AI 6 months ago:
Sure maybe it’s wrong, but seems close enough to me.
The distance from Earth to the Moon is approximately 384,400 kilometers, which is about 9,760,000,000 toothpicks laid end to end.
- Comment on SGE, ChatGPT and the likes are the stupidest thing to come from AI 6 months ago:
I use LLM’s for two things mainly. First to help with small coding things that are tedious or I just need something to bounce ideas off of (hobiest coder) also for asking questions that Google and the line can’t answer. Like “if the unit is measure is toothpicks, how far is it from the earth to the moon” stuff like that. Or ballpark approximations of things.

Is the bitwarden extension any different then just the app?
- Comment on FCC explicitly prohibits fast lanes, closing possible net neutrality loophole 6 months ago:
I know Lemmy is the wrong place for this, it’s just another hive mind like reddit. Actual reading is what got me to this point. So maybe it’s you that should do some unbiased reading.

If it was the status quo then why have rules?

But there’s never been an issue… Should Netflix pay more for their increased traffic… Yes, it’s not equal to my browsing.

Bless your heart

The things NN is trying to “solve” was never an issue either
- Comment on FCC explicitly prohibits fast lanes, closing possible net neutrality loophole 6 months ago:
Yay, spam email servers now have full speed. Spam away! You do realize prioritizing traffic is kind of the network norm right? NN was one of those, let’s fix a problem that doesn’t actually exist. You know that right?!?
- Comment on Rant: Cura did the one thing a slicer shouldn't do 9 months ago:
This is the way. It integrates so nicely with klipper as well. I’ve been a slicer switcher for a long time, but this is definitely my home for a while.

Which is TTI, so the same as Milwaukee, Ryobi, and Rigid. I wonder if they are more of a non-US rebranded one of those 3
- Comment on The four houses dads belong to. 10 months ago:
Those are hard to compare, especially at Home Depot. They are always having combo deals. Those are also the cheaper lines, the MAX XR and M18 FUEL are where the prices separate. That’s the top of the line of each brand.
- Comment on Moderna’s mRNA cancer vaccine works even better than thought 10 months ago:
Depends on how much time was spent on R&D. You have to recover those costs. I know everyone wants everything for free but it takes a fuck ton of man hours and tons of investments to get to this point. You can’t just give it away unfortunately.
- Comment on You probably don't need a VPN 10 months ago:
It protects your ip address, and your ISP from knowing what you’re doing. It also protects you on public wifi from nefarious actors. VPN’s aren’t meant to protect you from Google advertising while checking your Gmail account…
