- Comment on There are people who hesitate now when asking for "no ice" in their drinks. 2 days ago:
While working in fast food, I realized just how disgusting the ice bin gets. Also: the amount of drink you get is at least 1/3 less after ice is added and temperature has never been a huge concern to me. I’d much rather have a slightly warmer beverage than one diluted with germ-laden water. So, yeah. Fuck ICE (and adding frozen water to beverages).

It doesn’t. I’ve also disabled network access to Nova years ago (GrapheneOS FTW). I’m gonna go ahead and disable updates for Nova and try to fully commit to switching to Lawnchair.

Lemon party? Did you visit rotten dot com and 4chan in the 2000s? Did you download the Daniel Pearl beheading video via Kazaa Lite? I just want to be sure you got the full millennial childhood experience.

If your dongle has a configuration app, I’d look in there for options to disable the safety pause bullshit. I couldn’t agree with you more! The head unit can’t tell if its the driver or passenger tapping it, so why on Earth would it force the vehicle to be stopped or in PARK?!? Idiotic babysitting for no reason isn’t safer.
- Comment on Why Are Cars Getting Rid Of Android Auto? 5 weeks ago:
You just need a wireless Android Auto dongle. I have an older Honda without wireless AA. I got an “AAWireless” adapter that physically plugs in, then I connect my phone via Bluetooth and WiFi while I wireless charge it. The cool part is that it also removes the safety stuff that prevents you from typing while car is in motion and taking “safety breaks” while scrolling on head unit. I highly discourage distracted driving (just don’t be an idiot).

The cadence and heart rate sensors are usually not inserted into the body. The issue could also be that you need a different type of seat.
- Comment on “Everybody talks about wanting to change things and help and fix, but ultimately all you can do is fix yourself. And that's a lot. Because if you can fix yourself, it has a ripple effect.” 1 month ago:
While its definitely true that you need to take care of yourself before you can helping others, this sounds like some Ayn Rand shit (advocating individualism over collectivism). The proletariat need to recognize the bourgeois are a shared enemy and that organization is necessary to defeat inequality.

Not at all. They have been required since 2018 and fairly cheap to add to older vehicles.

I just run teleporter on my primary and manually upload that backup to my secondary. My blocklists and local DNS dont change much, so its not a big concern of mine.
Nebula-Sync and Orbital-Sync may be of interest to you. It seems like you want to automate the syncing.

Nothing, they seem like a good idea. I just don’t want my browser throwing new functionality at me without consent. I’d rather have a setting to enable PWAs that’s disabled by default.
- Comment on Yo, fire fox what the fuck? 2 months ago:
I’m gonna go ahead and be the guy who recommends LibreWolf. Mozilla has been taking Firefox in an especially fund-seeking direction in recent years (and this fork avoids a lot of it). I haven’t seen PWAs appear in LibreWolf as of now.

I wish roads would make up their mind. Some routes have names and numbers. You end up having to memorize both (if you want to give/get directions from other humans).
