Not at all. They have been required since 2018 and fairly cheap to add to older vehicles.

DNS isn’t going away. But don’t depend on someone else’s server. Run your own! Its also a great opportunity to block ads/malware/tracking. Here’s some resources to get you started:

This is an interesting piece of technology and the OP wanted to share. That thing must have one hell of a clutch! Achieving controlled fusion would be a monumental feat for our species.

At least we can all agree that Tay was an AI revolutionary way ahead of “her” time. /s

- Comment on Local DNS on Pihole 3 weeks ago:
I just run teleporter on my primary and manually upload that backup to my secondary. My blocklists and local DNS dont change much, so its not a big concern of mine.
Nebula-Sync and Orbital-Sync may be of interest to you. It seems like you want to automate the syncing.

Do I call that number if I want to solicit Chynel Phelan? Or do I call that to report cheeky solicitors lurking in CP alley? I have questions.

Nothing, they seem like a good idea. I just don’t want my browser throwing new functionality at me without consent. I’d rather have a setting to enable PWAs that’s disabled by default.
- Comment on Yo, fire fox what the fuck? 5 weeks ago:
I’m gonna go ahead and be the guy who recommends LibreWolf. Mozilla has been taking Firefox in an especially fund-seeking direction in recent years (and this fork avoids a lot of it). I haven’t seen PWAs appear in LibreWolf as of now.

I agree, Thom does make it sound like “what’s this”

I wish roads would make up their mind. Some routes have names and numbers. You end up having to memorize both (if you want to give/get directions from other humans).

I miss sponsoring Jamaican bobsled team and NASCAR (Josh Wise). We also sponsored building a well in Kenya, for access to water (Doge4Water). DOGE used to be a force of good before it was hijacked by Muskrat and that orange piece of shit.

- Comment on Flying cars crash into each other at Chinese air show 2 months ago:
Cars travel on the ground. These are indeed massive drones with the capacity to lift humans. The media won’t give up “The Jetsons” flying car term (regardless of how impractical and unsafe the concept of layman operating in 3D space is). These are just electric, multi-rotor aircraft. My rant is over.

- Comment on Capitalism is like an RPG game 2 months ago:
Do not hold your assets in fiat currency. When you get a raise, keep expenditures to a minimum and invest in assets that retain and gain value. Holding capital (that outpaces your own labor) is the only way to level-up within capitalism.

I’ve been running DietPi for years. Its so lightweight and stable. I love GUI-less Debian and its chefs kiss on a Raspberry Pi.
- Comment on billionaires are a cancer on society [literally] 4 months ago:
Right? Billionaires should be seen in the same light as someone with a house full of cats and feces. Hoarding for the sake of hoarding is mental illness. Instead: we put them on Forbes and look to them as royals. Kill the rich.
- Comment on YouTube’s new anti-adblock measures 5 months ago:
Good advice! I use SponsorBlock too. Revanced and SmartTube have it integrated by default. LibreWolf/Firefox just need the extension installed. Its saved me hours (probably days at this point) of sitting through bullshit. Cheers!
- Comment on YouTube’s new anti-adblock measures 5 months ago:
I finally had to update (19.16.39 --> 20.12.46) and repatch my YouTube on Android via ReVanced. I’ll probably need to do that again in 6 months. I use uBlock Origin and LibreFox on PC and SmartTube on my TV. I hope Google understands I won’t be watching YouTube with ads.
- Comment on How Social Media Brings Out the Worst in Us 5 months ago:
Not entirely. Just look at people when they get “car brain.” Surround an otherwise decent person with a few thousand pounds of steel, and they can become a complete, egotistical asshole. There’s obviously some anonymity to driving, but most drivers understand they’re identifiable.
