- Comment on Major western news outlets continue to manufacture consent for israel's Genocide 8 months ago:
Even better, if they don’t report it, then people who read stuff from alternative sources will find that they can’t confirm the reporting in mainstream sources and decide that it probably didn’t happen, at least the way they read it.
- Comment on Major western news outlets continue to manufacture consent for israel's Genocide 8 months ago:
If they wanted to “manufacture consent for genocide” they wouldn’t have reported the story at all

Let’s not forget that it wasn’t really worth what Galaxy Brain Elon paid for it. The board looked for anyone else to buy it and no one was interested at that price.

- Comment on Samsung joins Google in RCS shaming Apple 1 year ago:
I lost half the people I’d gotten on signal when they removed sms. People liked it well enough when they could do all their messaging from one app on Android.
- Comment on Samsung joins Google in RCS shaming Apple 1 year ago:
I do, but most people don’t
- Comment on Samsung joins Google in RCS shaming Apple 1 year ago:
It would be fixed both ways if Apple adopted rcs
- Comment on Samsung joins Google in RCS shaming Apple 1 year ago:
I just expect them to make the interoperability as shitty as possible
- Comment on Samsung joins Google in RCS shaming Apple 1 year ago:
Unless the EU makes them, they’re not adopting rcs. I could see them putting out an imessage app for Android though. Probably ad supported to make the experience extra shitty for us. They’d quickly own the messaging market, at least in the US.

I think how it works is It shows you number of subs from your instance, not total. Unless the community is hosted on your instance, in which case you see all subs.

- Comment on When is 0.18.3 dropping, the current weighted sorting algorithm is nefarious 1 year ago:
I guess I’d want to know if I was using a word incorrectly. I understand what they’re trying to say, but nefarious doesn’t make sense in this context. Maybe my pedantic correction prevents them from looking dumb in the future.
- Comment on When is 0.18.3 dropping, the current weighted sorting algorithm is nefarious 1 year ago:
That’s not what nefarious means.
adjective: nefarious (typically of an action or activity) wicked or criminal. “the nefarious activities of the organized-crime syndicates”
