They are definitely not supposed to look like that. Call your doctor/primary care right away. It looks like an allergic reaction of some sort. Call your primary care.

…I really don’t know what to do with this information.
Idaho! That’s where the first 3 people died from a nuke explosion!
The article that you linked doesn’t even speak of there being a “nuke explosion” nor deaths, injuries, casualties, etc., etc.
Are you implying that modern nuclear reactors are unsafe? Or perhaps, how far we’ve come with nuclear reactor procedures, technologies and safety messures, from back in Or perhaps, you’re sharing a tidbit and an article that relates only in the fact that they both happened in Idaho. Or perhaps, you’re trying to stir up trouble. - Oklo breaks ground on its first nuclear ‘powerhouse’ at INL (Idaho National Laboratory)www.power-eng.com ↗Submitted 1 week ago to energy@slrpnk.net | 8 comments
- Comment on Do drug cartels let the US and other countries "catch" their shipments? Like the US caught 1 billion of drugs over here while we ship 6 billion worth of drugs over there? 2 weeks ago:
I don’t recall where I learned this, but I believe it was from a documentary about the Mexican cartels that I watched years ago.
Simple answer: Yes. It’s very much a cat and mouse game, and sometimes they sacrifice the few so that others can successfully smuggle in their load of drugs.
Long answer: They operate in huge numbers of people moving their drugs into the US (and other countries for that matter). They gather information from smugglers, scouts, informants, and even insiders of all sorts. With this kind of info network, they are better able to adjust where and when they send someone over. And if we look at who these people are that smuggle the drugs over, they sadly are those that either don’t have better opportunities where they’re from, have been kidnapped and forced to smuggle, have been blackmailed, have been extorted with threats of their loved ones being killed, tortured, or kidnapped. So they are often stuck in following through with the demands or face the cartel’s consequences. Hence why some will be used as decoys, told to get caught with a small load. This gives the cartels a chance to simultaneously send several others elsewhere, all in the hopes that the bigger loads get through. Which actually was or is (?) a viable strategy. And we haven’t even talked about the five ways that they commonly move their drugs into the US. On land, underground, in the air, on the water, and underwater with custom made submarines called a Narco-submarine

If there were people dumb enough to buy the Pet Rock back in the day… I’m sure there are dumb enough people who would buy an Apple labeled Rock, Paper, and/or Scissors.

It sadly does not. IIRC: lemmy.world devs removed this function a few updates ago because it was using up a lot of server CPU. I’d like for them to resolve it in the next update.
- Comment on Breaking The Creepy AI in Police Cameras 5 weeks ago:
It relates to the video that OP shared here. It’s the thumbnail of the video.
I’d like to see more videos posted with their thumbnails on Lemmy. So I periodically comment on videos that don’t have them yet.

Here is the video’s thumbnail.
I use an Extension called vidIQ to find and use the video thumbnail easily. The current thumbnail will be shown just below the video view count.

If you have a few or more references, then it has a better chance of surviving on Wikipedia. Otherwise, it’s considered low quality/importance.

I understand your perspective and agree that it would be best to do the following.
But you gotta understand how it feels for most Millennials. Image
What’s not included in this meme are: USA’s Unjustified involvement in two Middle East countries with our armed forces and bombs, 1 Trillion dollars collectively “spent” on those two involvements, “Resurfacing” of mass racism, Mass false news/information, The never ending inflation of everything, and the lie that if we all went to college and got a degree, that everything would be alright later on. (Let me know if I missed any.)
So yes, giving up hope is not wise. But nor is letting us live our lives as if this isn’t some of the most corrupt, asinine, ‘fight amongst yourselves while we the ultra rich keep taking from you in any way we can,’ period of time.

- Comment on Realistically, how feasible is it to 100% boycott a massive corporation (such as Amazon) for an extended period of time? 6 months ago:
Yeah, I don’t struggle with boycotting Amazon. The only times I’ve really used Amazon in the past have been for PC parts, audio headphones, and a random thing or two. I do my absolute best not to buy needless things as it is, and I know that there are plenty of other websites to use if I really need to get something online. (I knew this was gonna come in handy one day ha.) Here’s a website called amazonalts.org. It’s curated websites/online stores for the ethical consumer in mind. The categories are Food, Home, Clothes, Beauty, Books, Electronics, and Miscellaneous.
