I hope they succeed. While a normal user might not need more than Thunderbird currently provides, organizations are mkre or less bound to solutions like M365 for their versatility.

It absolutely is malware. The Text you see is a comment appended to the end of a command that’ll download malicious software. The comment is placed in such a way that the command is out of frame.

I believe the reason why images are bugged in the web client, is that the web client is bugged. github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ui/issues/2942

Currently I’m facing the issue that on the default web client, most full-scale pictures federated from other instances are broken. They immediately show up as the broken-image-placeholder.

Not that I know. There are elves in the setting that are way older than Frieren and the wiki states that they are nearly unaging.

The UI isn’t the problem? The attached screenshot shows people talking about federation. Federation is very confusing, but also the core part of how the Fediverse functions. The only thing you could to is to provide an entry portal, where all servers are categorized by the type of content they provide and you can check and uncheck the type of content you want or might want to interact with. Based on your choices, the portal could recommend a random Lemmy or Mbin instance that has a track record of being reliable and allows you to interact with most content of that type. So if you’d want to see porn for example, the portal should choose an instance that is federated with lemmynsfw.

The share price does reflect the worth of the company in that a low share price will prevent companies from taking on loans to expand or keep operating. That was the whole idea behind the GameStop shorting saga. Also, the share price also benefits those that hold a majority of the shares. Musk is the richest man on earth because he holds the most Tesla shares. He can use the fact he owns these shares in order to take out loans with great conditions and to buy influence.

You may not pay the company when you buy shares from another trader, but you buying the shares drives the price of the shares and with that it makes the company more valuable.
