- Comment on DuckDuckGo poll says 90% responders don't want AI 1 month ago:
Don’t build AI into everything and assume you know how your users want to use it if they do want to use AI, Give me a MCP server to interact with your service instead and let users build out our own tooling.

- Comment on whatever happened to in-store coffee grinders? 5 months ago:
Well that’s annoying, hasn’t happened at my Costco yet but I may have to get coffee somewhere else if they do that at my store.
- Comment on whatever happened to in-store coffee grinders? 5 months ago:
Costco is my go-to place for coffee, and they still have them. However, I don’t use them, I bought a burr grinder. I prefer grinding the coffee beans right before brewing.

- Comment on Let's Encrypt is 10 years old today ! 1 year ago:
A client of mine pays for an SSL cert he doesn’t even use. I’ve told him before I moved him to Let’s Encrypt because I was able to automate the renew process. He decided he needed to continue paying for the SSL cert. I told him we are not using it, but he doesn’t believe me. So he continues to pay for it.
- Comment on Is there any privacy-friendly way to use Facebook on iOS? 1 year ago:
Continue what you’re doing on the desktop and set up beeper with only your Facebook account to handle messages from your phone. It’s still not great, but I think it’s the best you’re going to get. Also, Beeper is just a pretty front end to a matrix server with a bridge connecting to Facebook Messenger. You could totally run it yourself if you wanted; check out the “self-host” link near the bottom of the page.
