Also how I’m using them on my motorbike under the helmet. Works a treat, can still hear my bike but a lot of the wind noise is goooone.

Tile sucks in any country compared to the Apple and Samsung networks so you’re not missing out on much.

- Comment on What is the word for someone who is friends with different groups but doesn't have loyalty to any one group? 8 months ago:
Given how out and proud the sentiments are expressed, the friend can’t say they didn’t know… I wouldn’t waste much time trying to have them see reason. You don’t accidentally join a dinner party where everyone else is a white supremacist, or an anti-vaxxer, or where everything they don’t like is woke and thus should be eliminated.
Either way I said probably… Which would likely follow as certainly after an attempt to see if maybe they have been wilfully ignorant (still not a good look).

It’s precisely that they should be treated the same that I don’t believe they make a good example as someone you wouldn’t want to be associating with.
You shouldn’t care that mates of yours hang with ex-cons, so there is no conflict to be had there.
I wasn’t remarking on the incidence rate of fascists, merely commenting on their views.

Ex-cons might not be the best group to use in your example…
If I had a friend who kept the company of fascists, I’d probably drop them real quick - notably as the current iteration of fascists are intent on ensuring people like me are dead or ground under their boot.
On the flip side, just because I had a disagreement with someone doesn’t mean other friends can’t be friends with that someone - it takes a lot to be called “an enemy” of myself.

You forget that in the States, they say “speed limit is X, so I go X+10”, sometimes even 20. It’s very common for comments to mention that the flow of traffic is literally 25% faster than the “limit” - it’s like culturally so many USians treat the limit as a lower limit. 🫣

I have it happen with some image posts, and if I turn off my VPN it loads fine. Suspect the host doesn’t like NordVPN.

- Comment on How common is smoking in Australia? 10 months ago:
Not much smoking, enough that you’re a bit taken aback when you travel to Europe/Africa/Asia and it seems like everyone smokes there.
No smoking allowed indoors, and I feel like there’s fewer smokers gathering at the 4m mark away from doors.

Yeah those CISS style ones are awesome, really glad Epson embraced it after years of customers using 3rd party CISS.
If I were to get an inkjet again (I have a bw brother laser MFC), it’d definitely be a ciss.
- Comment on A gel injected into the scrotum could be the next male contraceptive 10 months ago:
How many men are committing suicide because they got someone pregnant? Feel like having women fall down stairs or just being an absentee father seems to be the preferred action…
- Comment on A gel injected into the scrotum could be the next male contraceptive 10 months ago:
Unfortunately there has to be almost no side effects for almost all users, as there are no (as yet) medical benefits to male contraception.
In women, not being pregnant can prevent death for some of them, regulate painful periods, etc. - it is considered the risk of the myriad side effects is worth it because at least it does some good.
For men, who do not become pregnant, not being able to get someone else pregnant is not a medical benefit for the man.
And unfortunately hormonal modification does cause problems. Lots of them.

I know Nobara Project was aimed at gamers/streamers, maybe check that out?
- Comment on Steam has now officially stopped supporting Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1. 10 months ago:
Nobara Project is another good Fedora based build for those wanting to try Linux that will work relatively smoothly for gaming.
- Comment on What is your preferred fitness tracker/smartwatch? 1 year ago:
Ngl I have used the find my phone function a LOT on my smartwatch, and do like having google maps showing on it when I’m navigating in an unfamiliar location. I’m sure there’s other features I utilise but these came to mind as being really handy.
- Comment on What WiFi relay system can I host at home? 1 year ago:
Came here to recommend the gl.inet range. Folks love em on cruise ships for the same purpose as what you want.
I’m tempted to bring one with me to a hotel so I can bring a wifi enabled camera to watch my gear too, and not have to set it up with the wifi. If you need to authorise it with a web portal, often what you do is you connect with your phone (turn off random MAC), authorise on the phone, then connect to the gl.inet and have it spoof your phone’s Mac.
They can also support VPN too.
