  There was (is? Haven’t gotten one in weeks) a sextortion scam going around where they emailed potential victims PDFs containing personal information associated with your email address along with a Google Street view image of your house/building to try to scare people into paying. Mine was easy to date as you could see the street in front of the house before it was repaved by the city several months ago.

  It’s a useful skill to have if you’re able to master it, language switching. You can establish credibility/experience or lack of depending on your audience and your intentions.

  I’ve never served but sometimes people assume that I have because of how I carry myself. So I’ll avoid phrases and sayings consistent with military personnel, maybe toss in words used in movies and video games to give the impression that my knowledge of the military stems mostly from those.

  When I was a kid, I was somewhat envious of Tom Hanks’ character in The Terminal. Rewatching it as an adult hits different after spending a lot more time in airports since then.
