- Comment on PS5 Pro Leak Reveals Alleged Name and Design of the Console, so judging by this ps6 will release on 2028 2 months ago:
FF16 in quality mode runs at 1440p 30 FPS locked upscaled to 4K. And it decreases resolution sometimes in my experience while playing it.
And in performance mode runs at 1080p targeting 60 FPS.
Both modes can be improved by better hardware. That’s my point.
Now things like “30 FPS locked, sucks” or performance mode targeting 1080p is not enough quality is just my personal opinion. Of course some people enjoy 30 FPS or 1080p on a 4K big TV.

FF16. I’m talking about running quality mode (which still doesn’t do native 4K it does upscaling lot of the time) at higher FPS than 30 with a better PS5 Pro hardware.

Yeah but some games like Final Fantasy run at 30 FPS capped and they suck.
They should start moving those games from fixed 30 FPS to a higher FPS. Doesn’t even need to be fixed 60 FPS. If they enable VRR between 30 and 60/120 they will massively improve the experience.
I understand that some TVs can run VRR down to 20 or 30Hz.

I prefer this to Microsoft Edge stealing all my chrome passwords and bookmarks without my consent. Something they do from time to time.
- Comment on Google kills Chromecast, replaces it with Apple TV and Roku Ultra competitor 3 months ago:
I think that upgrading it with just 22% faster processor is kind of killing it.
The current CCWGTV performance sucks.
- Comment on Google kills Chromecast, replaces it with Apple TV and Roku Ultra competitor 3 months ago:
The CCWGTV performance is a shit at 4K.
Eventually I’ll replace it, if the new device sucks I might try apple TV.

So offline bitlocker drives
And online bitlocker drives used with AMD fTPM are excluded from this exploit?
- Comment on Why OLED monitor burn-in isn’t a huge problem anymore 1 year ago:
One thing that I also noticed is that my monitor (which has i think 350 nits / LG 27GL850-B) it is much easier and clear to see at direct sunlight because of the anti-glare screen.
But I doubt that antiglare/matte displays is a thing you find on TVs.
- Comment on Why OLED monitor burn-in isn’t a huge problem anymore 1 year ago:
Thanks for the hints. So that means that in a bright room 1500+ nits is ideal for HDR right?
But even with a 1500 nits TV, HDR will be still much better in a dark room?
- Comment on Sony PS5 "Slim" Teardown + Thoughts - Dave2D 1 year ago:
Aesthetically I prefer the old one.
But if you have to move your PS5 from time to time. (Example going to a second home for a week or so) I’d totally go with the new one as it fits better on a backpack.
- Comment on Why OLED monitor burn-in isn’t a huge problem anymore 1 year ago:
I have a budget Samsung 55 NU7400 and I can’t see shit while playing a PS5 game with HDR during the day. I need to close the blackout curtains otherwise I see my face.
Next TV I buy I need to do some research, 120Hz, more nits, VRR, etc.
- Comment on This airBNB was supposed to be a "relaxing retreat" but now I need therapy after this shit. 1 year ago:
Indeed. I have my TV on a TV desk and behind it there is a mess of cables, all kind of hidden.
On my desk I have:
- ISP modem,
- personal router
- gigalan powered switch
- VPN server (edgerouter X)
- Toslink hifi dac
- passive preamp with IR receiver to control the volume
- The TV
- x2 powered monitors (KRK RP6G3).
- PS5 console
- One headphone amp that lately I’m not using (Lyr 2) and I think I’ll reallocate.
- Comment on Sony Defends PS Plus Price Rises - IGN 1 year ago:
I recently got a PS5 and I only buy offline games because of this.
They should release maybe some 20€ annual plan just including online gaming and maybe 500MB of cloud storage for saves.
But having to pay for this is a disadvantage Vs PC games and having to pay like 74€ per year is even worse.

Yeah and on the living room with a big screen (I got a PS5 recently) I think the PS5 is doing lot of 1440p FSR upscaling.
And it still looks nice.

- Comment on Google Pixel 8's Tensor G3 GPU tests show weak performance but decent efficiency 1 year ago:
Yeah so for Pixel 8 you just need a bit more for 120Hz instead of 90Hz
A different story is for gaming. But for mobile gaming I’m more a fan of Steam Deck or Nintendo Switch.
- Comment on Google Pixel 8's Tensor G3 GPU tests show weak performance but decent efficiency 1 year ago:
Performance I don’t give a shit.
But efficiency I care a lot especially in a laptop. Much more on the phone.
Pixel 5 with a 3 year old mid range SoC can run android 14 UI at 90 FPS pretty much fine.

- Comment on Capcom President Thinks Game Prices Are 'Too Low' - IGN 1 year ago:
Some prices are crazy in my opinion.
I generally buy 2 year old games except in some cases.
And in the consoles they are even more expensive. Game price could be higher than on PC and then you also need to pay an expensive subscription (because they charge you for a lot more things than just the multiplayer costs) to be allowed to play in multiplayer.

Well I don’t have an original quality cloud backup. So eventually I move the DCIM folder back to my PC.
That being said. I haven’t tried “Nearby” to move a 30GB folder with a lot of items. Maybe that works fine already. (For few items it’s very fast).

It freezes the app preventing background usage.
It’s like the “disable” option that you have in system apps. But for user apps. In fact, once you disable them if you search them in play store they appear with an “enable” button.
