I didn’t know what an oubliette was, so I looked it up.
It’s a type of dungeon where the only entrance is a trap door in the ceiling of the oubliette. The word comes from the French word “oublier” meaning"to forget"
- Comment on Were the [REDACTED] also a result of the Progenitors? DIS s5 spoilers 1 month ago:
I agree. We know that there are non-bipedal sapients (eg Tinman, Tholians, some Xindi, Belugas, etc) so there must be some species not made in the image of the Progenitors.

That is definitely a top contender!
Not dark, but I think the. Most tragic is “Sound or her Voice” where they try to rescue the standard captain on an unbreathable atmosphere planet…

The easiest way to stop piracy is not by putting antipiracy technology to work. It’s by giving those people a service that’s better than what they’re receiving from the pirates

I mean, she slept with Worf, which is the one thing she’s not supposed to do.
And like I said, there may be a difference in personalities between symbionts in how dominant they are. Plus Dax had lived through 8 pairings and knew Ezri wasn’t trained. It could regulate.
- Comment on Happy Birthday Terry Farrell 7 months ago:
This is probably why Trill have to undergo years of training before joining, to keep their personalities more merged in.
It could also be that Dax prefers to be more passive in its relationship with its host compared to Odan. This makes sense because if the point of Joining is to gain new experiences, overpowering the host won’t let the symbiote learn.

- Kill Sisko and other DS9 senior officers in a plausibly acceptable method, throwing Bajor into a political crisis, ripe for manipulation.
