Holy shit. Why didn’t they just tell me this???
Thank you!
- Comment on Do NOT buy Creality 1 week ago:
I emailed Creality directly, I didn’t go through their ticket system. Could you not link me to that site you mentioned? Because I’ve Googled the hell out of this and found a few complaints on Amazon, and that’s it.
- Comment on Do NOT buy Creality 1 week ago:
But Creality can’t even tell. They asked for pictures.
- Comment on Do NOT buy Creality 1 week ago:
Creality wouldn’t explain that to me, and I’ve never seen a listing with versions for the K1. Can you find one so I can see what you mean?
- Comment on Do NOT buy Creality 1 week ago:
I reported them for being shady af and told them they’ll take the printer back or face legal repercussions. I’m beyond being patient.
- Comment on Do NOT buy Creality 1 week ago:
It’s between that and an Elegoo.
- Comment on Do NOT buy Creality 1 week ago:
Yeah, I’m really annoyed. I had bought a bunch of nozzles in advance, so when I needed the replacement, I’d have it. Imagine my shock when my printer spit out a unicorn nozzle on the day before Christmas Eve, after everything had closed. I was in the middle of printing Christmas stuff. I was LIVID.
- Comment on Do NOT buy Creality 1 week ago:
I have a K1 that doesn’t take early K1 parts. I think they changed things mid-production to use the unicorn nozzles that they evidently designed for another printer. During that time, the hotend was changed twice as well. This means if I order a hotend kit, I have a very low chance of actually getting the part I need. I’m not sure how to shop, because everything just says K1.
- Comment on Do NOT buy Creality 1 week ago:
Oh, my model is the current one. It’s the older ones that everything is tailored to. That’s the whole problem 🤣
- Comment on Do NOT buy Creality 1 week ago:
It’s not counterfeit. Creality literally admitted the problem. It’s super whack, I agree.
- Comment on Do NOT buy Creality 1 week ago:
My printer before this was an Ender 3 v2, I’m not useless. But when I can’t even find parts that fit, that’s a problem.
- Comment on Do NOT buy Creality 1 week ago:
No, I don’t mind replacing things. But how? Do I just buy a slew of different parts from random sellers? Creality parts don’t fit. I’ve tried.
- Comment on Do NOT buy Creality 1 week ago:
Evidently? Everything I order for it is for the original K1, and Creality quietly made changes midway through production so nothing labeled K1 will fit. The connections for a new hotend, for example, would not fit my board. The nozzles labeled K1 are short, like nozzles my Ender took, but then I found out my K1 takes unicorns. I literally can’t buy parts.
- Comment on Do NOT buy Creality 1 week ago:
Yeah, I’m not even sure what to get now. But they’re taking this Frankenstein monstrosity back or I’m going to burn them to the ground. I’m loud, angry, and litigious.
- Comment on Do NOT buy Creality 1 week ago:
Oh damn. I’m discovering they’re so much worse than I thought.
- Comment on Do NOT buy Creality 1 week ago:
Don’t buy Creality. I really liked the K1 but their support is insanely user-hostile.
- Comment on Do NOT buy Creality 1 week ago:
Well I wish you would have told me that 3 months ago.
- Comment on Do NOT buy Creality 1 week ago:
Nothing fits. I originally ordered regular nozzles because it said they were K1, but I went to replace one and out came a unicorn.
Then I wanted to replace my thermistor, but lo and behold, the connections didn’t match.
I think the only thing I’ve bought that fit was the camera, and that didn’t even fit properly - the head bangs into it all the time.
- Comment on Do NOT buy Creality 1 week ago:
It sure is! I’ve been going back and forth with them for months. They’ve admitted the problem.
- Comment on Do NOT buy Creality 1 week ago:
I was just going to ask what you bought instead. The thing is, I really liked Kevin. Yes. I named it Kevin.
Do they think people won’t talk?? What a garbage company. I’m reporting their bullshit to the consumer affairs people.

Art, for sure. Glue some LED strips to it and make a cool swirly wall thing.

I have an addiction to antique crates. My desk is from the 1920s, and instead of shelves, I stacked crates on top of it. It’s hideous but it holds everything I need, and it’s incredibly sturdy. Between my desk and a 1950s sideboard, there’s room for my PC, Cricut, Chromebook, inkjet printer, 3D printer, dual displays, and stacks of filament, vinyl, and other various craft shit. My mouse and keyboard live in a drawer unless I’m actively using them. I have my desk covered with a giant play mat with Middle Earth on it so it doesn’t get scratched, and because I am a nerd. All my printer tools live in a 3D printed tool organizer that’s screwed into the side of the printer.
This weekend, I’m painting and mounting pegboard too.

They’re super sleazy. I bought a K1 on Black Friday thinking the hardware was… like… standard? I have a completely different printer, nothing for the K1 is compatible, and the nozzles are $20 EACH, instead of $30 for a pack of 10. Total bait and switch. And they won’t respond to my emails asking what parts are compatible.

Not Creality. Ever.

I will try sending those links to someone who can see them. Thank you for sticking with me while I ranted lol
- Comment on Creality K1 woes 1 month ago:
Well I wasn’t asking you. I just think the whole situation is bonkers. I’m going to see about reporting them to consumer protection or whatever.
- Comment on Creality K1 woes 1 month ago:
Link doesn’t work 😞
It is using unicorn nozzles, yes, but I didn’t know that until I needed to replace them. Thankfully, I was still within the return window for the $40 set I bought just in case. But shouldn’t I be able to tell which parts I need before they get here? How do I know what to buy going forward? What if I get something incompatible and can’t return it?
- Comment on Creality K1 woes 1 month ago:
You would think that would be the solution, but no - printer registers itself as a K1, no C or Max or anything else. That’s why I’m so confused.
Nozzles: a.co/d/aYVIVGY Hotend: a.co/d/1yqFogq
Neither of these work with my machine.

I’m just saying, it’s not like I’m buying 3rd party parts. These are direct from Creality.
