- Comment on FCC proposes ending cellphone carrier locks after 60 days 2 days ago:
Strangely, if I see internet deprioritized on 5G (which is rare), I switch my settings to 4G and it’s blazing fast. So I’ve never had a problem.
- Comment on FCC proposes ending cellphone carrier locks after 60 days 2 days ago:
Never heard of an MVNO huh? I bought my phones outright and have enjoyed having 4 lines for $105/mo.

- Comment on Google announces April 2024 shutdown date for Google Podcasts 6 months ago:
Years ago, Google shut down services I used and since then, I don’t get involved in anything they put out there on the market. This will include their AI service.
Only thing they are allowed to provide me is email. I’m even using YT and search drastically less.

- Comment on Sponsored listings are a ripoff…for sellers 6 months ago:
I haven’t paid for prime in two years. When you check out, switch to free shipping. My packages usually arrive earlier than the date they show (that incentivizes prime).
I’m happy… and patient to save all that money they want.

- Comment on Microsoft Hires Sam Altman Hours After OpenAI Rejects His Return 7 months ago:
Well, I’m micro-protesting all of this craziness. Cancelled my renewal of CGPT4 next month. I don’t support the board, Sam going to Microsoft, and a majority of employees leaving to Microsoft.
Go use Microsoft’s version of CGPT4. You’ll see why.

I just tried using all, wow, I didn’t realize the fediverse had declined this much. It’s worse than a 250k member Facebook meme group that’s been abandoned.
- Comment on OpenAI board in discussions with Sam Altman to return as CEO 7 months ago:
They got a look at how many were quitting on Monday and realized their whole company was screwed. This is how Sam will wipe out the board of directors, possibly with ownership percentage?
- Comment on Amazon Lays Off 180 Employees In Its Games Division - Aftermath 7 months ago:
I’m not understanding. As this is the first I’ve ever heard of this, I went to their site and it looks like freebies for games you play and games from other developers.
Did Amazon make their own games? If not, what were these 180 workers doing exactly?

I stopped supporting Google the moment they forgot “don’t be evil.”
- Comment on YouTube's plan backfires, people are installing better ad blockers 7 months ago:
Holy crap, now that is causing massive damage to advertisers. I didn’t know this existed either. If everyone used it, the entire internet would collapse because most of it is for-profit now, unlike 30 years ago (when I made my first site in notepad).
