Unless you already paid for a lifetime Plex pass, I highly recommend giving Jellyfin a try.
Yep, bought a lifetime license like a decade ago when it was cheap. I’ve stuck with it since it’s been simple for my family to use.

See, this is what I mean. Stupid arguments.
You’re not confronting reality when you compare men to animals. You’re literally projecting your insecurities onto me by assuming I’m defensive over this topic. I’m not defending either man or woman or bear in this argument. I’m saying this whole topic is a stupid hypothetical and all it does is lead people to argue, like you literally did with me. You’re not confronting reality by saying your safe with a bear, because reality is, you’ll never go be with a bear.
If you want to have a real discussion about the very real and serious harms that women have to deal with, I’m happy to discuss that. That’s a topic worth discussing. This isn’t that discussion. This is a bad faith hypothetical designed to frame a conversation against men for the sake of stirring more shit. And honestly this’ll be the last I engage with this thread because it’s really already consumed too much of my time.
I hope you understand, I’m not trying to fight or belittle your opinion or attack you. If you wanna frame this as me being defensive, that’s your prerogative, but I just found this whole question to be dumb when I first heard about it a few days ago, and this article just once again reinforced how dumb I found it.

This whole thing is just another way of putting men against women.
- Comment on Mean world syndrome has reacted a fever pitch. 1 month ago:
Trolling might have been where it started, but this is the natural amplification process of reactionary media.
The question is bull shit, the answers don’t really matter, and the articles generated from it are just there to capture your time and attention. This whole article and the social media posts that started it are all pointless.

- Comment on Migrate from nextcloud photo backups to immich? 2 months ago:
Not familiar with the nextcloud side of things, but I just pulled all my photos from Google photos and imported them all to Immich. I’d imagine if you just have a folder full of images, it’d work the same way. During the Immich setup, you can designate an import folder. Once you have Immich up and running, you can use the terminal and run an import from the command line. Immich doesn’t currently support mass importing from inside the UI, so this is the only way I’ve found to do it. The import ran fast for me though, went though 125gb of photos and videos in about 5 mins.

It’s literally the story of how Oregon Trail came to be. With interviews from the people who made it. Honestly it’s worth a watch if you find Video game development or early computing at all interesting. Video Game Historian puts out some fantastic documentaries and this one is equally fantastic.

- Comment on Final Fantasy XVI PC Version In 'Final Stages Of Optimization,' Expect A Demo Before Release 3 months ago:
If your choices are 16 and 7Remake, go with 7Remake. 16 looks pretty, but the gameplay is honestly extremely shallow.
- Comment on Final Fantasy XVI PC Version In 'Final Stages Of Optimization,' Expect A Demo Before Release 3 months ago:
it looks like you’d wail on one enemy for 3 minutes until it gives out.
Oh you’ll wail a lot longer than that in some cases. Some of the summon boss fights took like 30~45 mins of wailing. And yes. The RPG elements are non existent, and the side quests are incredibly shallow and boring. You are spot on. No status effects, no elemental affinities, absolutely minimal equipment and weapon systems which amount to basically making a single number go up. It was honestly embarrassing as far as gameplay goes.
- Comment on Can we talk about FF7 - Rebirth? 3 months ago:
I guess I don’t mind it. The side quests aren’t the most exciting of activities, but they lead to a lot of great things. Like extra transmuter options, and party level increases for synergy abilities. unique accessories, and unique conversations with party members you wouldn’t see otherwise. Plus some of the best materia is only accessible from chadley. So I haven’t been minding it all that much. As you unlock life springs, you unlock more info about the environments you’re in. For me the rewards outweigh the monotony.

- Comment on Hogwarts Legacy has officially cleared Zelda as 2023's best-selling game worldwide 4 months ago:
I found the combat to be serviceable, and at some points even decent. But it kind of got repetitive really quick. Like once you learn the core mechanics, they didn’t really introduce a lot after that to keep you on your toes. But the main problem I had with the game came from the quests, they just felt so monotonous. I love exploring the castle, but finding every little collectible just felt tedious and didn’t really seem to have any payoff.
All things I hope can be improved with an eventual sequel, I’m definitely glad I picked up the game. But it’s not something I’ve ever considered revisiting once I beat it.

It’s honestly amazing how well this game sold considering how mid the gameplay actually is. Having a popular IP really helped.
