- Comment on Mozilla grants Ente $100k 1 month ago:
So, this question comes from someone with no background in development or marketing but, wouldn’t this money be better spent on develoment or marketing of Firefox. I’m a little more worried about having a long term alternative to Chrome based browsers than self hosting photos. This is not a knock on Ente or any other photo hosting script, I am very interested in a fully functional self hosted Google photos alternative, but my priorities start with Firefox.
- Comment on Why is the internet overflowing with rubbish ads – and what can we do about it? 1 month ago:
All ads are garbage. There’s no such thing as a good ad. They are in place to push an entities will upon you, there is no upside to any ad for the viewer. Firefox and Ublock Origin for safety and sanity.
- Comment on Your TV set has become a digital billboard. And it’s only getting worse. 2 months ago:
Disconnected my TV from the Internet. I stream media from a PC on my lan to Kodi running on a fire stick. Setup openwrt to drop all packets to wan from the fire stick. These companies can get fucked and if they ever figure out a way to stop me from owning my devices, I’ll just take up some new hobbies and be done with it all.

Every product that has overtaken another has started in single digits. This is hardly a point at all.

- Comment on Why does Microsoft want me to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11? 8 months ago:
You sound like my buddies 10yo daughter when she hops online to play games with us. “Everything is not fair, I want it to magically change without my intervention and I don’t want to do anything about it or be told to take action or take advice that is given.”

I don’t listen to cultists…or their leaders.
- Comment on Remote work is still 'frustrating and disorienting' for bosses, economist says—their No. 1 problem with it 1 year ago:
Companies usually have some metrics they use to determine if employees are meeting their requirements and these same metrics can be used for remote employees. The problem is, they can’t wring you out for extra work. Looking busy at work is important because if you complete all your tasks 100%, management will just give you more work. At home, you can complete your work in 1 hour and then spend the rest of your time for leisure. This terrifies management, because looking over your shoulder and squeezing you for extra work without more pay is the only real value they bring to the company.

People let them get the tip in is it any surprise that they are going balls deep now?
- Comment on YouTube isn't happy you're using ad blockers — and it's doing something about it 1 year ago:
It’s not that they can’t, its that they won’t.
- Comment on Robots are pouring drinks in Vegas. As AI grows, the city's workers brace for change 1 year ago:
If this is AI, then McDonald’s has been using AI for a long time. Also, my Keurig is AI powered too.
