we also should be supporting open source games—if it’s open source, it’s preservable!

In a capitalist economy copyright is meant to protect people’s livelihoods by ensuring they are compensated for their labor
Whose propaganda did you stick down blindly? Copyright is meant to foster and improve the commons and public domain, and only that.

That won’t put butts in seats in theaters to make up for the money being invested. Microsoft wants a new generation of kid money.
- Comment on Kotaku being Kotaku 2 months ago:
People need to wake up to the fact that these movies are ads to sell shit. This is an ad to sell Minecraft to a new generation in of kids. Why in the world do you think they keep rebooting movies that’s made for kids like Star Wars and Transformers? Because they sell toys to kids.
So, why Minecraft movie? You admit the stats yourself: they need kids to like Minecraft to sell Minecraft branded shit. They don’t even have to play the fuckin game as long as they’re paying for cheap branded plastic for kids to show off to their friends what brand represents their personality the best.

I legit like the live action avatar. It isn’t the best thing ever, but I am actually legitimately enjoying it and it’s changes.

- Comment on Helldivers 2 boss apologizes for 'horrible' dev comments, says Arrowhead has 'taken action internally to educate our developers' 8 months ago:
I really do not understand how server anti cheat is not way easier. I feel like devs are caught up on realtime anti cheat and not willing to do anything asynchronous. Or they really like paying licensing fees for client-side anticheat. I just don’t understand how any competent software engineer or systems admin or architect trusts the client so fervently.

Does that function the same on Linux?

Exactly: Net neutrality is a publicly acknowledged individual by small tech that wants to censor liberals.
- Comment on The games industry sucks 1 year ago:
By your own admission you are punching down or sideways at best. Punch up. You see what you want to see, you aren’t the only person in the world who’s a card carrying union member here nor are you the only person who cares about workers in any non-tech industry here. Class infighting is about the dumbest thing ever.

- Comment on Tabs are objectively better than spaces - gomakethings.com 1 year ago:
My point was that it’s pretty much impossible to indent with tabs in lisp. It’ll be harder to read and scan for everyone else who has a different tab with. How you indent and what you want to indent to is very different compared to a c-style language.
- Comment on Tabs are objectively better than spaces - gomakethings.com 1 year ago:
laughs in lisp
Nah, I’ll keep on sticking with spaces or whatever the language’s formatter uses. Ain’t no way am I mixing tabs and spaces, will just stick with spaces.
