  Honestly, just use whatever works for you, I think it’s a good idea to have a discussion about the amount so a few more people who pay for the client maybe also donate a little towards their home instance but I don’t care about Sync anymore and I am sick of it!   It’s not about the bell, with it Youtube also introduction the algorythm to the subscription feed and essentially made some videos not show up consistantly anymore if I am not totally wrong (it’s been a while and I was a lot younger back then)

  I usually use UBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, Dark Reader, Firefox Containers, Privacy Redirect, Bitwarden and Decentraleyes but idk if I would recommend using that many. Addons have a lot of access to your private data by desing (they modify websites and requests) so it’s very important to keep an eye on the installed ones and organizations or indivituals behind them! My personal wakeup moment was the sale of Nano Adblocker where the buyer pushed an update with questionable code, that had a good reputation and definitely wasn’t some noname one so bad stuff can happen quicker than you might expect!

  Yea, they managed to get it back at some point but it was under external control with close to no benefit for them for a long time!

  The domain bs is a interesting case of scummy practices in general, .tv was missused in a similar way with awful contracts, essentially scamming a already increadably poor country!
