I bet people will find a solution that’s very simple, like snipping the GPS/cellular antenna. I think that could work to bypass it because what if your driving in a area with no reception? I highly doubt they will turn off your car because of were your driving.

Welcome! I came over during the API lockdown because I didn’t want to use their shitty app on mobile.
I generally like it more over here, I’m not doom scrolling as much, and while not all of my niche community’s are here, I do feel like I have more of a quality experience in them though.

I no longer have a old phone but I found that disabling bluetooth and mobile data when your not using it can help with battery drain.
You can also go into developer settings and set the maximum backround process limit to 3 and that does a good bit on its own.
