definitely meant to comment on another post, super weird! I was reading a nottheonion post about how Steam was telling people not to huff the air coming out of the Steamdeck. Wonder if i hit a bug on the kbin mobile website?

They should intentionally make it smell real bad to discourage people to do that, like how Nintendo made ds/3ds cartridges taste bad so little kids wouldn't try and put them in their mouths
- Comment on Games that my non-gamer girlfriend can watch me playing? 11 months ago:
Haha Inside is correct! Yeah you're right now I'm remembering some of the really weird stuff that happens in the game. I loved their game Limbo too but that also has some gruesome deaths

Outside is a great game. Lots of spooky shit but not outright violent.
- Comment on How are 144hz screen possible? 11 months ago:
It's actually 23.976 and yes it's because of NTSC frame rates. But increasingly things are shot now at a flat 24p since we're not as tied down to the NTSC framerate these days.
- Comment on I am keep losing my computer mouse (wireless) and feel anxiety to purchase more mouse. How should I help myself ? 1 year ago:
In case this isn't a joke... maybe get more organized? It seems very wasteful both to your wallet but also in general to keep buying multiple mice and then also losing them a lot. All that packaging, shipping, e-waste you're creating because you can't just put a tiny effort into being organized. Like if you use a wireless mouse with a laptop just always put it with the laptop? Or always put it in a specific place?

I was under the impression that DDG is pretty private and while underlying search is Bing, bing can't track the searches to individuals
- Comment on Elon Musk wants to merge humans with AI. How many brains will be damaged along the way? 1 year ago:
Unfortunately the damage has been on the animals. https://www.wired.com/story/elon-musk-pcrm-neuralink-monkey-deaths/
Funny that the very long vox article doesn't mention the wired investigation
- Comment on India shifted launch of its Chandrayaan-3 moon lander to avoid space objects 1 year ago:
4 seconds? Usually launch windows are in hours and days right? Unless you have barely any fuel margin and you're trying to hit a very very specific orbit I can't imagine 4 seconds being a huge issue. But I'm no orbital dynamicist
- Comment on Amazon Prime Video is able to remove a video from your library after purchase. 1 year ago:
I set it up a while ago but if you search for guides I'm 100% sure you'll find them. I think jellyfin has their own guides. It gets a bit more complicated when you want to access it from outside your network. I use ddns (dynamic DNS) because my ISP doesn't give static addresses to residential customers. This allows me to have a hostname of xxxx.ddns.net. then I had to set up port forwarding on my router so that the jellyfin traffic is allowed through to my desktop that stores all my media. Internally on your LAN you'll need to have a static IP for your desktop too.

Jellyfin is so good. I'm travelling internationally right now and it makes me smile that I can stream stuff from my home at any time. I'm gonna miss Netflix DVD because I would get Blu-rays and rip them to my media library

Man I wish I had the foresight. I distinctly remember the game store at my local mall had a bunch of virtual boys in a bargain bin.

So excited to see nuclear thermal propulsion actually flying. We were so close with project NERVA back in the 70s
- Comment on Can you easily communicate in your country (business/private life) without being involuntarily forced to use whatsapp? 1 year ago:
Yeah but one can infer that it's not a literal governmental force but a societal force
