- Comment on Trump 'encourages' Russia to attack NATO states not paying 'bills' 8 months ago:
It may merely require counting state sponsored medical and retirement benefits for everyone in, and who has ever served in, the military.
- Comment on Record waiting times for cancer treatment in the UK while King Charles begins treatment within days of diagnosis 9 months ago:
A proper leader would ensure all of his subjects are treated before him. If he wishes to speed his own process he should fix the system, not circumvent or commandeer it.
- Comment on Rishi Sunak considers banning cigarettes for next generation 1 year ago:
Skip smoking and vape limits. Outlaw nicotine and other addictive synthetic nicotine-like compounds. For gods sake - you’re not allowed to buy acetaminophen or pseudoephedrine in bulk in the UK.
Stop allowing the sale of the addictive drug and a good deal of the problem will correct itself.

Can’t be any worse than season 8.
- Comment on Mayim Bialik Declines to Host ‘Celebrity Jeopardy!’ Amid Strikes, Replaced by Ken Jennings 1 year ago:

- Comment on [META] I added a basic article filter 1 year ago:

- Comment on [VERGE] Substack wants to make itself a better place for readers, not just writers 1 year ago:
Substack is a festering pit of despair for both writers and readers. Their authoring tool is so bad there are hundreds of pages of how tos blogs on how to get around its limitations and it’s reading organization is as organized as taking a core sample of a modern landfill to find old newspaper articles - and about a cost effective.
- Comment on [VERGE] 8BitDo’s drift-free Ultimate Bluetooth Controller is selling for a new low of $55.99 1 year ago:
All in all a rather frustrating device which does not expose several core functions (gyro, back buttons) to windows for gaming, and their own software doesn’t allow binding of keystrokes to any button.
Other than that it seems decent.
Note there are past beta drivers which allow use of the controlled via dinput but I haven’t had a chance to test them yet.
- Comment on Anyone a fan of Good Omens? 1 year ago:
I’m genuinely worried about II. Not because I don’t think Gaiman can go it alone, but because the original had an unstable insanity to it that will be difficult to continue without being ridiculous for ridiculous’ sake.
I hope it’s good, of course.
