The credits list Minoru Shiraishi as the author of the song. I guess Kaorin is a nickname for one of the voice actresses: Kaori Fukuhara.

So maybe just a song made only for lucky star, so he could confess his love for her? 😅

On the flip side, I hate how everything seems to be an isekai these days. Feels like a cheap and overused plot point by now.

I would much rather watch an entire series covering the “a rising star animator on the verge of burning out” than the “she’s spirited away into her favorite childhood anime” part.
