- Comment on New Starfield free update added a ground vehicle 2 months ago:
this is the biggest disappointment to me. the game wasn’t good enough to justify all the crazy star wars mods that could have been. even lightsabers and speeders won’t make this into a good game unfortunately
- Comment on SanDisk introduces the first 8TB SD and 4TB microSD cards - Liliputing 3 months ago:
yeah, but you can carry it with you at all times if your phone takes an SD card.
although, can they use one that large, or is there some restriction?

honestly, even then it’s not really worth the time IMO

F360 parameter entry was so lacking. And what a strange feature to not fill out since as you say it’s basically just a spreadsheet. Hell, let us import actual spreadsheets so I can have a baseline each time for parameters I’m always inputting such as 3d printer specs (line width etc)
- Comment on How many of you actually use the headphone jack on your phone? 11 months ago:
as a backup. like when on a plane and my wireless ones die. or to plug into stereo aux

- Comment on Wintergatan prototyping new Marble Machine X using 3d printed parts 1 year ago:
I also miss the old version. that marble lift was so cool. seems a shame to have scrapped it instead of making some music, whatever it wound up being. on the other hand, I assume when this version gets further along it’ll start coming to together like the last.

yes! I was shocked that was not a feature when I migrated over on mobile.
- Comment on PI is what 1 year ago:
Gotta cut it off at some point though, right? How many decimals? 10, 4, 1, or 0?
Plus, this is a test not the knowledge delivery. Some thing as ‘assume a flat plane with no friction’ for a physics test. Yeah it’s not 100% accurate but the test taker can be evaluated on the methods
- Comment on PI is what 1 year ago:
Like, at least make it 3 instead of 5. Still allows for mental math
- Comment on What games can you recommend that didn't get the appreciation that they deserved? 1 year ago:
Just started on SoD today. Pretty wild how free form it is. Fantastic.
- Comment on Idris Elba: Actors in video games like Phantom Liberty is 'sign of the times' 1 year ago:
Yeah, but that was just the voice. This (and Keanu silverhand) are trying to be the actors straight up playing characters in the game.
- Comment on My 3D printed kitchen bags drawer 1 year ago:
Yeah, I could see this being useful if those boxes don’t ask fit in your preferred drawer or something, but otherwise just use the box they came in
- Comment on GRIPE: When I switch home-ships, all my display gear gets dumped together with everything else. 1 year ago:
So dumb. I realized I forgot to paint a part after putting everything where I wanted it and wound up just leaving that piece unpainted until the next big overhaul since it would just jumble everything up again
- Comment on Environment effects! 1 year ago:
I had this exact thought/memory earlier today when I saw something about them nerfing planet environments. I don’t even know how they’d do it in starfield since the terrain is barren so there isn’t even cover to go to. So it pretty much would have just been “no, you can’t go to this planet”.
- Comment on Missed opportunity 1 year ago:
I feel like new Atlantis is hard to get a grasp on is that 1) it makes you fast travel immediately on arrival for the story and therefore lose the sense of place and your mental map, and 2) they never give you an overview or overlook with landmarks so that you can see where things are in relation to each other.
The first impression is getting on the train and then jetpacking through a bunch of bushes to the lodge.
- Comment on Monthly Recommendations Thread: What are you playing? 1 year ago:
I’ll throw down the factorio card for this week. Trying it out on the steam deck. Plays pretty good so far. Bit clunky in the controls, but I’ll keep messing around with them. Plus it’s great for the pick up and play, although I’ll prob need to leave notes or something when things get more complex so I don’t lose the thread
- Comment on I have fire arms therefore you are wrong 1 year ago:
Saw them this year in Denmark. Good show but pretty poor venue. No amphitheater slope, so unless you were in the bleachers or way up front it was pretty tough to see anything
- Comment on After 70 hours, I cheated myself rich 1 year ago:
Yeah, your mass 99999 is why you have a ton of money. I don’t begrudge anyone playing the way they want to play, but don’t act like that’s not a significant ‘cheat’. Again, more power to ya
- Comment on After 70 hours, I cheated myself rich 1 year ago:
Yeah, what a silly sequence they force. And then you think you have the design down but just change a hab type and the doors and ladders all move, like wtf!

Honestly, they can prob just shoot through your ship. Let us know if you figure out if there’s a good arrangement though
- Comment on Rating down at 77% 1 year ago:
Ship building is fun, but man they are lacking in detail.
What is the difference between these two cockpits? Idk, build it twice and find out. Oh, they’re identical, then why even have a second one?
Oh, this giant 3x3 module must have a ton of stuff in it! Nope, the 2x1 is actually better. But which one? Dunno, try them all and reload.
You’re ship is too big in either length, width, or height. Which one is it? Dunno, I just figured I’d throw all the errors together into one warning and let you figure it out.
Modders sure have their work cut out for them…
- Comment on Rating down at 77% 1 year ago:
Empyrion is such a different game, but so many times on that my buddies and I would just land somewhere to get fuel and spend hours exploring and building on some random planet with plenty to find, explore, and fight. And that is entirely procedurally generated with randomly placed points of interest.
- Comment on Is there a game that you've been very patient for, which turned out to be dissappointing when you finally started playing it? 1 year ago:
That demo thing they did a while back looked pretty lack-luster.
“make any ship you can imagine” while they cycle through like 5 premades, 2 of which have the exact same cockpit…

I second BG3. And just do mouse with off-hand. Or set up keyboard to act as mouse.

Baldurs gate 3. Thought it would be more complete since it’s coming out soon. Still good though.
I’ve always had trouble getting into these isometric rpgs for some reason. Divinity, wasteland, old baldurs gate, even dragon age origins. Somehow the disconnect between the control and the character gets to me.
I’m going to try to get deep enough into this one though so that the story can actually shine through
