- Comment on Not to get all religous but was not Jesus pissed for people making money in churches? Didn't he flip tables and everything? Then how do churches nowadays explain the collection plate? 2 weeks ago:
The pastor never reads that passage. His job is to make people feel better about themselves and to enrich the church! If people start feeling bad about themselves, they’ll stop coming!
And don’t ask about why people don’t read the bible. That sounds hard…

Randoms don’t wander in. There is, at the minimum, an illusion of security with a security guard.
Security is security: the more you have, the more difficult target you look. It doesn’t necessarily make you safer, but the illusion exists on both sides.

(not mice), but Fancy Rats are extremely susceptible to tumors. It sucks. Most rats I’ve owned have died of either cancer or respiratory illnesses than old age.

I’ve watched NFL games for years. 2.5 minutes is engrained into my brain. Mute just before the fade out, and I just feel that the time has come where I can look at the screen again.
- Comment on Insuranace is a joke 1 month ago:
Insurance is for liability. To pay for the damages you do to someone else. What you’re describing is full coverage.
Once you’ve paid off your vehicle, you may consider dropping down to liability only. It’s convenient because they’ll pay you when your vehicle is damaged, but the monthly payments will quickly far exceed the money you will recover if you get in an accident.
This is just an example of insurance companies making it more convenient to continue paying them extra money. In the end, insurance still isn’t a utility, and it continues to be run by private, for-profit companies that will nickel and dime you at every corner.
