    Also, smokeless powder made armies go from brightly colored uniforms that could be seen through clouds of gunsmoke to dull uniforms that blended with the terrain.

      Lol and the irony is France at the start of WW1 got slaughtered wearing bright red and blue uniforms. Pretty sure they lost something like 30,000 soldiers in one day
